We have to work as a team

The moment Elana drew her sword, the chaos truly began. Kormak, eyes wide with panic, gripped his axe too tightly, his knuckles turning white.

Lila, still looking pale from the sight of the mana beast, whispered incantations under her breath, hands shaking as faint sparks of magic flickered around her fingertips.

"Kormak, wait!" I yelled, but it was too late.

The massive mana beast swiped one of its colossal claws in his direction, sending him sprawling into a nearby tree. His body collided with a sickening thud, and I winced as he slid down to the ground, groaning in pain.

"Damn it, Kormak!" Elana hissed, swinging her sword as she ran to his side. "You can't just charge in like that!"
