Chapter 45 — How long?

Gropius entered inside a narrow room. It was so confined that he could barely stand in there. In fact, the room was no more than a closet. But it was entirely empty, and Gropius couldn't find what he had been expecting from that place. There were just those golden mirroring walls that were surrounding him in every direction.

Eventually, he found a button and pressed it. Right away, the wall in front of him started to liquify, and morphed into a weird indescribable thing, the kind of which Gropius had never seen before. He was so clueless that he just stood there, staring at it for a few seconds.

Then, he opened the door that was behind him and asked the cats that were still in the living quarters: "Hum… I beg your pardon. But… I'm not sure to know how to use this thing properly."

"Just use it. It's not difficult. You'll see." answered Pebbles.

"Never mind…"
