As soon as Nolan came back home from his business trip, the first thing he did was to pounce on Amber. Amber just lay on the bed without even making a sound until Nolan was through deriving his pleasure from her.

Nolan lay on the bed, breathing heavily, and said, "If only you weren't mute, then it would be so much better."

Amber scoffed and replied, "I would have made a sound if I found it enjoyable. Stop pretending as if you don't already know how disgusting I found you to be."

A year ago, if Amber had said this, Nolan would be angry and would end up beating her, but now, the man ignored her and went to sleep. Amber on the other end went to the bathroom to clean up. There was no emotion in her eyes as she kept scrubbing her body and only stopped when she saw that it was becoming red. She sighed and rinsed her body before coming out of the bathroom.
