It has been around ten minutes since Astaroth arrived in the Multiplicative Precipice, and his total Energy Value has already surpassed 100 Trillion, which meant that he was around 1 hundredth of the way to his next Energy Overflow.
The next Evolution Stage was on the horizon, and all Astaroth had to do was continue slurping up algae cells like a vacuum!
Still, with a thousand different suckers, he looked more like a juiced-up octopus than a vacuum... Like some sort of freakish scp creature, his thousand slimy appendages wiggled throughout large parts of the Multiplicative Precipice.
Devouring and assimilating any algae cells and other complex multi-celled organisms, Astaroth had become nothing less than a folk tale from myth…
If the algae cells had a consciousness of their own, then they would surely exhibit true fear…
Snatched up out of nowhere and slowly dissolved inside the body of a large, unknown creature…
Just imagining such a fate was enough to induce terror in any number of beings in the universe.
As for this terrible monster himself, well, he was currently thinking happy thoughts, letting his appendages do all the action for him.
'From my memories, I remember eating things like Udon and Sushi… And then there were burgers and fries… Ice cream and pizza… I wonder what all of that tastes like… Gosh, I really hope the human world has some good food to eat…'
As Astaroth salivated at the mouth while thinking like a true glutton, his thoughts suddenly took a dark turn.
His slime eyes darkened, and an unknown intent leaked from the very core of his existence.
"If those humans have something good to eat, then they can live as they were… But if not, then I guess… I guess I will just have to eat them instead."
For the first time in this new life of his, Astaroth thought in a way truly befitting of a monster. It was something that none of his kind could resist, and he would not be an exception.
This was why beings beyond existence itself actively hunted down his kind and the Infinite Energy System. Both went against the very laws that dictated reality, and they were both set for death the very moment they came to be.
One a gluttonous existence and the other a support tool helping this existence grow; Astaroth and the Infinite Energy System already had their untimely demise set in stone.
However, this story… It was one that shows what would have happened if Astaroth hadn't eventually succumbed to his fate by beings beyond what he could fathom.
He survived the transmigration; that was step one, an already impossible miracle.
Now came the truly life-threatening part: Absorption and Evolution!
This was the weaving of an existence beyond reason—of one that shouldn't have even been born...
And such an existence was doing just as he was born to do…
He was devouring the energy that made up everything in reality!

"Yes, I think that would be for the best," said Astaroth, his cold eyes scanning the barren scenery around him.
In less than an hour, one lone existence evolved from the tiniest of atoms to something half the size of a water molecule…
And now he was on the verge of taking his first step into the world above!
BLAZING!!!
Erupting from his slimy, nightmare-like figure, a light more dazzling than all the previous ones combined engulfed the entirety of the water molecule. Then, as if a dam had been shattered, the slime's body exploded out of the water molecule before devouring it whole!
With even greater fervor, that same slime expanded by dozens, hundreds, thousands, hundreds of thousands of times its original size!
Completely incomparable to before, a far colder and far more ruthless existence emerged from the depths of a freezing cold pond in a courtyard of what would one day be Rivermoon City.
With a thick sheet of ice and snow covering the pond like an inescapable barrier, Astaroth would appear to be trapped…
But then again, this just meant that new obstacles were placed before his path to evolution...!
From the bottom of the environmental hierarchy, he now needed to absorb and absorb until obtaining the power necessary to truly enter the world of humans!
