Heaven does not block all paths

Cui Rong could help but curl her lips a bit. She wondered what could drive Bai Ming to dare to enter this place.

She was beginning to find him interesting and wondered if this reason had anything to do with a certain young lady.

From what she had gathered, it appeared that the young lady of the Li family had taken a shine to him. Many seemed to ignore this, but there were a few who paid special attention to all this. Although she was curious, she would not press the matter.

Everyone had their own reasons, and she would not pry into them. She, too, had her own thoughts and was naturally not willing to die here. With these thoughts in mind, she, too, followed and disappeared through the door.

Zi Yan let out a chuckle and stepped forward, too.

Although he had been frustrated for a while now, he did not think too much about it. It would only hurt his head, and he had not been treated yet. He was definitely not going to be outdone by these two poisoned rats.

After he disappeared through the entrance, Han Ding and Zou Qiang also followed in.

It appeared that everyone had decided what their next choice would be. Si Niang stood up and looked to Li Tian and Wu Zhengyi.

"Can you help me lift him up and move into the castle?"

Li Tian and Wu Zhengyi looked at each other for a moment and helped him. In a brief moment, no person could be seen in front of the castle's entrance.

In another part of the frozen land, a figure in a black hood was rapidly approaching the faint residence in the distance.

At this point, he suddenly stopped and decided to proceed slowly in a stealth manner.

The figure had seen many creatures in this land fleeing for their lives. Some could not even run and could cower in fear in their holes.

Although he could not tell what had caused this, he still chose to proceed.

But now that he was approaching where the main disturbance was, he decided to be vigilant. He was not stupid. Something that can make all beasts cower in fear was not to be underestimated.

He was not very far from the building, so he could see faint figures whose heads were high up in the air. They seemed to be looking in the direction of this residence.

In that moment, he took out a dagger from a wooden case and allowed a drop of blood to land on the dagger.

Inside an unfamiliar spacious grand hall, there were many human corpses and bones lying around.

It seemed everything in this room had been washed by time.

In the same room, a skeleton body was sitting cross-legged in a pool of blood holding a skull in its hand, which seemed to have been detached from the rest of its body. It appeared to be wearing a crimson robe with dragon patterns, which looked very elegant.

There were many torn up rags on the floor and walls, which seemed to show just how much they had experienced. In contrast, the robe did not seem to have aged a bit.

The blood on the floor seemed to have recently been spilt there. It was very fresh. In that same pool were seven dried up human figures.

Right in front of this skeleton was a frozen body incased in thick ice and a rotten corpse, which seemed to resemble an elderly man.

At this very moment, a faint light glowed in the skull's eye sockets.

"Hmm, another group of insects seems to have found their way here"

In this silent room, only its voice echoed. It was unknown how it could produce a sound despite being detached from its neck. Even its jaws did not show any sign of motion.

"Not even a cultivation base?"

"Well, that's no good. At this rate, it won't be long before I follow in this old foggy's footsteps…"

"Sigh, even after finding this palace, I could not take the last step. This damned old geezer had better make sure I don't catch a whiff of him in the next life otherwise this…"

At this moment, the skull seemed to sense something, and the crimson in its eye socket intensified. The dragon patterns on the crimson robe seemed to come to life and started to move along the robe's surface.

"Heh, hahaha"

"Its truly as they, heaven does not block all paths."

"Old dog looks like fate doesn't wish for this seat to fall here."

The skeleton body shook intensely. The blood it was sitting on started to move towards the body. It was almost as if the skeleton body had turned into a vortex. This blood was likely from more than one person, so there was no way it could fit in one body. Logic would dictate so, but this skeleton body seemed like a bottomless pit. Soon, all the blood on the floor disappeared.

"These insects will act as my buffet, as for the main dish…"

With this said, the glow in its socket seemed to intensify.

"Soon, very soon, I'll leave this place and will take good care of your descendants"

"Fortunately, that little brat is still in slumber, I need to hurry before that little rascal notices this"

After saying this, the glow in its eye socket dimmed, and, in a moment, the room returned to silence.

The black robed figure in the snow frowned.

He did not understand where things went wrong. Although he was glad that this confirmed that his journey was not in vain but the current situation was not the least bit pleasing.

Looking up ahead, pairs of bright eyes were looking at him with an intense desire to devour him whole.

These serpents originally had their attention glued to the entrance of the palace, but a bright red light had somehow illuminated a large part of this land.

They immediately turned their attention to this. The black robed figure reflected in their sight didn't know whether to cry or laugh. He had not expected the dagger to show such a strong reaction, but since things had come to this, he could only fight his way through.

With this thought in mind, the figure took out it's weapon and dashed towards the large serpents.
