Roderick was taken aback by Ivy's revelation. It was clear Elliot had decided to end things with her, likely hoping it would help her move on. Yet, Roderick chose to remain silent, withholding his thoughts.
"Aren't you going to say something?" Ivy asked, feeling frustrated.
"What should I say? I can't judge this situation since I don't know the full story—what you two shared or why Elliot suddenly made this choice," Roderick replied without being biased. Even though Elliot had revealed the truth to him, he couldn't tell it to Ivy since it could have hurt her.
"You're right," Ivy murmured, lowering her gaze. After a brief pause, she asked, "Do you still like Layla?"
The question caught Roderick off guard, and his composure faltered momentarily. "Why do you want to know?" he asked, his brows furrowing.
"How are you coping?" Ivy continued. "Seeing Layla every day must be unbearable. I want to learn how you've managed to move on."
