Lost my mind

"Elliot, I thought you were a serious type of guy. I didn't expect you to call me here to interrogate about a matter of which I wasn't even a part. You left Ivy when she needed you, so reflect on your own mistake first," Roderick uttered his disappointment. The waiter had returned with a food trolley, ready to serve them.

Roderick left his seat, glancing at Ivy for a brief moment. "Don't you want to leave with me?" he raised a brow.

"This is the last time we are seeing each other," Ivy told Elliot, fighting back the tears, which were ready to fall off her eyes. Grabbing her clutch bag, she stood up and left with Roderick.

As the elevator doors closed behind them, Ivy broke down, silent sobs shaking her shoulders. When the elevator stopped on the next floor, more people stepped in, forcing her to stifle her cries.
