Second Login: NightShade

Uravis felt excitement building up within him when the meeting ended. He knew it was his chance to prove himself to the city, but he was mainly excited because he had way to talk to Claire.

As the others went their different ways, Kim and Arin went shopping while Ivie and Tyson wanted to check out a museum close by.

He made his way back to the apartment then to his room where he closed the door, his mind racing as he thought of what he would tell Claire.

Without hesitating, he flipped the locket open and immediately thought of Claire like Thorne said, and for a brief minutes of silence, her face popped up as a holograph, hovering over the locket.

"Hello..Uhh, how is this?" he heard her ask, her soft voice sending a wave of relief into him, he heaved a sigh of relief and spoke.

"Hey Claire," he paused watching how she squinted her eyes, trying to see what was in front of her. "Place the locket on something and step back," he said and she did as he said, when she did, he smiled.

"Uravis? Is that you?" she asked, bringing it to his notice, that he was still as Drakonis. He shifted back immediately and shivered when the chilly air touched his own skin. "It is you!" she exclaimed joyfully and cupped her cheeks. "How are you?"

"Forget about me, How are you doing?" he replied and asked, with a warm expression in his eyes. He was overjoyed that he actually got to see her, despite being away for barely a day.

Claire gave a small smile, "I am good, just holding on to the promise you made. How is the city though?"

Uravis nodded, "It is great, Got noticed here as well and we will be going on another mission tomorrow," he explained and she smiled again.

But her smile fell, causing a frown to appear on his face.

"What's the matter?" he asked as panic slowly crept into his body, when she shook her head, he knew something was wrong. "Don't give me that as an answer."

"Fine," she inhaled sharply, "Since you left, I have not been able to cook much, like I used to, and there is no one to talk to in this large lonely house. It is too quiet, Uravis," she lamented in one breath and he couldn't help but laugh.

He expected something worse but it was just the fact he was not around that was getting to her. 'Just a week and few days it feels like we've known each other since birth,' he told himself and smiled.

"Don't worry, Claire. I will be home soon, hopefully. Just wish me luck in my activities and don't forget to contact me when you want to talk," he said, already going to start preparations for their mission tomorrow.

She nodded her head with a smile and then the holographic picture vanished like it was not there. Uravis heaved a sigh, still bummed out about not being able to see her in person.

He already knew one week away from her would be hell, and it was just the beginning.

After taking a bath and setting out what he would wear for the mission, his usual simple fit. A black tank top and baggy trousers that he made multiple requests for, because that was what he was comfortable with. And then a hoodie and mask, Incase there was a side effect to using his abilities.

But then it occured to him that were other avatars he needed to try, not just Drakonis.

"Okay, let's see," he muttered as he got the bed with towel in his hands as he dried his hair. "Login."

Almost immediately the holographic screen appeared before him, at the top was the heading, 'Character selection,' then under was the recent one, Drakonis and the analytics for the duration used, below the name.

After the Name Drakonis, Uravis spotted a character that caught his attention almost immediately, a smile then crept up his face as he reread the name, he tapped on it and watched the details of the character come to view.

The time for the mission arrived and the group was in their best form, each one of them wearing masks to conceal their identities, and they liked it.

Especially Uravis who could finally leave his room without worrying about anyone discovering who he was. To them he was Drakonis, but who ever they were going to fight or run into, will meet all three of him, Skilled swordsman, athletic and flexible teenager and a rogue spy with all of those abilities combined.

Just thinking about it, increased his excitement and at the same time reduced his patience.

They stood outside their apartment, waiting for Arin who went to round up their rides.

When he arrived, Thorne gave them communicators that would come in handy during the mission, but held Uravis back and asked the others to go, that he would be behind them.

Uravis who was very impatient and wanted to leave so badly, stared angrily at Thorne. "So? Why am I being held back?"

"Because the King wants you to direct them. Ivie informed us last night that if Arin or anyone else was to lead the group, everyone would end up dieing. So she suggested that you lead, because after Arin, you are the most experienced," He answered and pushed a slab of glass into his hands. "It contains your map and a portal, to be used in a life or death situation. Understood?"

Uravis nodded, still confused about what Thorne was trying to say, but before he could say anything else, he was lifted into the air and on the scorpions back.

He watched Thorne vanish in the distance as the scorpion leapt away, leaving him confused. However, when Uravis joined the others, he saw they were on an empty land, just covered with sand and a vegetation.

It was like a desert, but also a forest, no sign of water or animals, except the insects that were oddly bigger than usual and birds that had a striking resemblance to a pterodactyl.

He alighted the scorpion, his brows raised as he scanned the area, he could sense faint energies different from the others, but he could not place where it came from.

Luckily, Arin, with his energy tracking ability, found the source, but they were standing on it. That was when it dawned on Uravis. "Typical," he muttered and turned to Kim, "You have the ability to control elements right?" he asked, internally asking himself a question as well. About how he knew or assumed that.

When Kim gave a nod a smile appeared on his face, "Can you focus your fire on one finger and build up the intensity, like a laser?"

"I don't know where you are going at this," she paused to see his reaction, when he frowned at her, she sighed, "Yes I can."

"Great. We are going to investigate the organization with stealth," he took a step back to get a better view of everyone. For a moment, the feeling of nostalgia hit him, reminding him of times he led his teammates during practice and tournaments. "Ivie, you stick with me."

He paused and tapped on the slab of glass, a holograph of the blueprint of the building came to view, adding more to excitement. "I am starting to love this world," he mumbled and took a deep breath silently.

"Tyson, you take the west side, Arin and Kim east, Ivie we head north. And under no circumstances must you be caught, Do not attack anyone, Don't try to be a hero," he flashed a knowing glance at Tyson and Kim, and they laughed nervously, because he knew that was what they were planning.

"We will stay in touch through out and if you find anything, take pictures," he paused and separated the slab into five layers, he distributed it out to them and kept one in his pocket. "And stay safe, No rash decisions, if you find yourself in a tight spot, there is is a portal linked to the devices, You can teleport anywhere within the city and wait for us where you think is safe. Understood?"

Arin smiled as they answered in unison, "I don't know how you do it, or where you get the skill from. But you never seize to amaze me."

"Thanks, Now if you would excuse me, I need to change into something comfortable," he said and hurried off, taking cover behind a tree. After confirming he was out of sight, he switched to Nightshade, longer black hair and a completely black sclera.

His clothes remained the same, except it was a jumpsuit and cloak with a hood and mask, behind him was two sheaths in an X behind him, around his waist was a belt with a pouch for the glass slab and his blades.

"The best avatar so far," he uttered, but almost immediately, a chill ran down his spine, followed by a series of images and information from the records in the slab and from Thorne.

"Harry Von Miller," he chuckled mockingly, "Stupid name for a mighty Organization leader," he paused and peeked at the others, watching as Kim was cutting a opening in the ground. "Well, I guess I am going Greek, or is it Russian, anyways I am going hunting."
