Going Separate Ways

Uravis crouched down beside Harry's lifeless body, stull baffled at his sudden increase in strength, he never imagined Nightshade would be so strong. He searched Harry thoroughly, he took items that he found important,

Identity cards, a cellphone, small notebook and a letter.

Ivie then approached him, her smug expression still on her face, like she had not been worried about Drakonis moments ago.

"Drakonis, What exactly did you do? I saw him stab you," She asked, now deciding to get answers to her question.

Uravis raised himself up and faced her, his gaze cold yet with a sinister gleam, "It's just a trick I learnt from my. Past life, You have nothing to worry about," he answered and walked past her.

Ivie's gaze lingered on his retreating back, as if trying to see past his mask, she knew there was something else hidden under his mask. He always gave off strange energies and every time she sees him, he is either cold, just there, empty like his soul was somewhere else.

Uravis, however, was busy with the slab in his hands, his attention now focused on the next task at hand.

They met at the same place they split up. Kim and Arin had files and a bunch of letters with them, Tyson retrieved a stolen core, without getting discovered. Like he asked them to.

Therefore with Harry defeated and the Organization's plans foiled, they could rest for a while before the next task, but Ivie knew better, she already had an idea of what was ahead, causing her mood to change.

After rounding up the recovered items, except the items Uravis found, "Any other way out of here?"he asked, his gaze fixed on the opening above. He did not have a flight based ability or character with one yet, so he was stuck at the moment.

Kim hummed in response and strolled over to where a switch was, she flipped the switch off and told them to stand aside. When they did, a ladder dropped down from the ceiling, leading to the same opening.

They climbed up it, one by one, till the last, closed up the opening, and made their way back to the palace.

On arriving there, King Arineth waited patiently for them, he knew the mission would go perfectly well and it was worth it. However, Uravis was still as Nightshade and he would have to switch back.

Away from everyone's eyes, he stood in a corner and instantly switched to Drakonis, the void in his eyes vanished, replaced with his green eyes. He strolled casually to the group and took off his mask. Inhaling deeply to fill his lungs with fresh cold air.

King Arineth passed the bag containing everything they retrieved, during the mission to one of his bodyguards. With strict orders that they are sent to Thorne. His eyes finally landed on the team, filled with gratitude and pride of the newest and warriors around.

"I am very glad that you performed well on your mission, Especially you Drakonis, and the others too. I am very honored to have you as heroes in my city." He said, as he sat down on his throne, beside him was different items, some wrapped up while others were not.

Uravis' stole brief glances at Ivie, he knew something was up with her. She was moody and she covered it up with her smug expression, something he realized she did everytime, to hide her emotions.

"You will all be promoted to Barons and Baronesses, But will serve the city individually. Thorne will send your new addresses and keys to your Manors," A smile appeared on his face when they gasped, except Ivie and Uravis.

But Uravis was surprised, He barely spent two days in a city as a hero and was now rewarded a title and a Manor. Then thoughts began clouding his mind.

He could have his peace, Contact Claire. Even better, he could invite her over and nothing would happen, all he needed to do was get a source of money to take care of her and himself.

The king's voice then brought him out of his thoughts.

Uravis dragged his gaze to where the king sat and saw him distributing parcels to the others. "Tickets to the finest Hotels and Resorts, Payment records for your weaponry and everything you would need to accomplish your missions effectively. And lastly full vaults of gold, silver and diamonds."

He concluded earning remarks of gratitude from them, Uravis was stunned, just what he wanted, a source of money. And he got it. He thanked King Arineth with a joyful heart.

After the King had dismissed them, they went back to their apartment to pack up, Thorne had sent the addresses to them and they were indeed sent to other parts of the city.

Arin stood before his quiet teammates, the mood had suddenly died. Kim was crying her heart out on Tyson's chest, upset about leaving her soulmate. Ivie on the other hand, had a bag of ice on her head also hiding her teary eyes from them.

Uravis as well was bummed out, but he was mainly glad that he would get his action and still be with Claire. His excitement knew no bound, but he was still upset that he would be leaving his new team mates.

They managed to remind him of his last team, especially Ivie who he knew recognized to have a personality like his team's number two player, Ivan.

It was like his life and that of the game collided and formed the world he was in. He barely even thought about going back home, he had everything.

Claire represented his sister.

His Login ability represented his games.

And all the rewards he was receiving could be a replacement for what he was supposed to win during the global tournament.

"I guess this is our last time together," Arin finally started talking after racking his brain for what to say. He was also upset, but glad that he could return home and at the same time he was a city away from Uravis.

"So anything we would like to share before we leave?" he added and they all shook their head, until Ivie raised her hand to talk. "Oh yeah, What would you like to share Ivie?"

Ivie rose up from where she sat and strolled over to Uravis, her head down and her hands crossed before her, she stood before him.

Contemplating on whether to say what she wanted, or not, but she had to.

"Drakonis," she said and paused, then raised her head to look at him. "I know it has been just a few days that we've known each other, and I know I have not been the best teammate, especially to you. So I wanted to say this now before we actually leave. At least to know what the future holds for us."

The room suddenly went silent as she spoke, Drakonis eyes remained on her as she spoke, widening gradually as realization hit him.

Then Ivie continued, "So I want to tell you that.. really like you, I mean, I Love you, even though we don't know each other that much, but I hope you feel the same....."

"No." Uravis stated briefly, his expression blank and his eyes cold, "No I don't."
