Alliance Upgrade: Three Influencial Figures

Immediately Uravis uttered those words, tension rose in the room. An awkward tension that was thick enough to cut through. Ivie's heart skipped a beat the moment Drakonis rejected her without hesitating.

He did not stutter, did not stammer or think before he spoke. He rejected her instantly and the odd thing about it, was that he felt nothing. He expected guilt or pity, but there was nothing. On normal circumstances he would feel very guilty, but despite how he searched, he found nothing.

He did not even know how to explain to her, because there was nothing to explain. He had no interest in romance, even if he wanted to consider falling in love.

That person would have to be like his two sisters, Claire and Cassie, worrisome but adorable and caring girls. But Ivie was the opposite. However he was not one to be picky with girl, if he doesn't feel a thing, he doesn't and will not.

"That is so harsh Drakonis," Arin uttered as he made his way to Ivie whose shoulder had fallen after Drakonis turned her down heartlessly, he wrapped his arms around her, in an attempt to console her, but she slapped his hands away and stepped away. "Ivie.."

"Shut up," she whispered and raised her head, her sight blurry as tears threatened to fall, "You are so mean, Drakonis."

Uravis was taken aback by what she said, and the tone in her voice made it terrifying, "Ivie don't say what you will regret," he said, but then his eyes widened when he realized what came out of him. He recognized the sinister tone in what he said to be Nightshade's, but he was Drakonis. He expected something noble and gentle manly, not a threat.

"You are making it worse," Kim mouthed, earning a glare from him. Then he took his gaze to Ivie and sighed.

"I'm sorry," he said and took a step closer to her, he raised her head up with his fingers under her chin and smiled, "I shouldn't have said it so straightforwardly, I apologize. But the truth is, I am not ready for a relationship at the moment...Uhh, even if I was, I don't have feelings for anyone yet," he explained as nice as he could, to avoid getting her more upset.

"It's fine," Ivie smiled and sniffed, she wiped away her tears and inhaled sharply. She was actually relieved that she got to tell him how she felt, but was upset because he turned her down immediately. He didn't even bother to give her a chance. "We should pack up and go to where we are supposed to be," she added as she bent over to pick up a scarf from the ground.

Uravis nodded in understanding and turned around, he made his way to his room where he had already packed up, what was left was Thorne to give him permission to keep his scorpion.

An hour later, Thorne arrived with the keys for their manor, he stood before them, outside the apartment with a proud glint in his eyes, he was very pleased with them, especially Drakonis who completed his mission flawlessly.

"I guess this is it," he said after their respective beasts have been rounded up with new armours for each of them.

"It was an honor to work under you general Thorne," Uravis bowed slightly and the others did the same, showing their gratitude for him.

So far Thorne have been of great help to them, especially Uravis who found a way to communicate with Claire because of him.

They said their final goodbyes and mounted their respective beasts, Kim was given a horse with wings–a pegasus, Ivie got a dragon which fitted her perfectly. And they got to keep the beasts.

"Goodbye everyone," Uravis said and almost immediately went off with one thing in his mind–get Claire to the city.

__________

Uravis stood waiting outside his manor with a mask on, still hiding his true identity from the public, although he had a solution to that.

Over two weeks of being in the city, he managed to get an apartment for Uravis and his other identities if he discovered them, while Drakonis lived in the manor.

He was waiting for Claire. He had invited her over after settling down and fixing everything to his liking. But he was anxious about how she would react if she saw a letter and a massive scorpion in front of her house.

A chuckle escaped his lips when he heard Claire's scream from a distance and the thud created from every landing the scorpion made.

Thankfully, his manor was located meters away from civilization, to avoid being noticed thus raising alarms for unnecessary reasons.

"She must be so terrified," he uttered and made his way to the spot the scorpion would land next. When it did, he held out his hands and waited for Claire to drop, since she was not holding onto to it properly. He caught her in his arms and placed her on the ground, almost laughing at how disheveled she looked. "Welcome."

Claire stared at him blankly, her heart racing and at the same time she was moments away from loosing consciousness. She was exhausted from the screaming, as a result of being taken forcefully by a scorpion and next she found herself in the air, on a beast jumping over distances that would take thirty minutes or more for a normal person to walk.

"Y..you sent that thing?" she gestured at the scorpion, still panting between her words, when he nodded she frowned, "What is wrong with you?"

"Sorry about that, I was just in a hurry and I needed to make sure you arrived before I left," he explained, taking his eyes to the locket around her neck, as well as the necklace he gave her. "You kept both of them" he said, because he imagined she would have stared at them for a moment and keep them away, yet she kept it.

"Offcourse I did," she replied and took her gaze to the structure behind him, then a smile found its way to her panic stricken face. "You can go to where ever you are going," she added and gave him a quick hug, "When you get back we can talk, I want to explore that," she pointed at the manor and hurried off, waving at him without looking back.

Uravis shook his head and chuckled, he switched to Nightshade and took one last look at the manor before vanishing, leaving a black fog behind. Then he appeared at the top of a click tower, thousands of feet away from the ground.

He switched to himself and smiled at the scenery then he he took his gaze back to the ground, "Let's see if the original had any physical skills," he uttered and without hesitation, jumped despite knowing what would happen if what he assumed would work, failed.

He did a few flip and landed on the roof of a restaurant. "Awesome," he mouthed, surprised but glad his original body also had unearthly abilities that were better than his athletic abilities in his old life.

However he did not stop there, he jumped off the building, did a quick calculation and pushed his body towards the road and then landed on a street light, he jumped off that, did another flip and landed effortlessly before the two people he was supposed to meet.

Before raising his head he instantly switched to Drakonis and rose to his full height, a polite smile appeared on his face when he made eye contact with them. "Good evening."

"Drakonis, right?" One of them asked and he nodded, "You really know how to make an entrance," the lady remarked with a smile and bowed, "I am Lady Seraphina, this is Torvalds. It is an honour to be in your presence Baron Drakonis."

He mirrored her smile, 'Powerful and Influential figures in the city being honoured to meet Drakonis,' he paused and chuckled lowly, 'They haven't met Nightshade yet.'

"I am glad I got to meet you both," he said, "It will be an honour to work by your side," he added and gestured at the restaurant behind them, where he asked them to meet him. He covered all the expenses and he did not feel it.
