Vasquez moved away from Uravis, to give him room to switch to another identity, although he preferred Nightshade to the others.
Uravis sighed and slowly switched to Drakonis, his crimson eyes fading into a forest green that gleamed before settling.
He shivered and gazed down at himself, "This should do, doesn't exhaust so much energy," he mumbled to himself, totally forgetting Vasquez could hear him.
"You should learn to reduce the way you use up your energy on one identity, Uravis," Vasquez said calmly from where he stood, he didn't have the sinister or mischievous glint in his eyes. He was serious now.
Uravis raised his head up and gave him a confused gaze with one of his brows raised.
Vasquez sighed, "Try to switch in between identities, even if it is not called for," he explained crouching down to the ground to give an illustration.
He arranged a few pebbles in a circle and put one at the center, "You own all these identities, from the ones used to the ones still locked, and they all have their separate abilities which consumes a huge amount of energy," he said drawing arrows connecting each pebble to the one at the center.
"You give out energy individually to every character, which is not advisable," he paused and drew another arrow, connecting the pebble at the center to one of the pebbles.
Then he connects the same arrow to the others joining them all together.
"This way, you pass energy through like electricity, from Drakonis to Vendetta and the others," he raised his head up to look at Uravis, seeing him concentrate so much made a smile appear on his lips.
"Try it," Vasquez said as he raised himself back to his full height, he rearranged his cloak and hood then moved further away from Uravis.
"Right now?"
Vasquez nodded and Uravis felt nervous for no reason, he inhaled and exhaled, slowly focusing his energy on his body, from his head to his toe. The magic energy flowed back and forth, meeting at the center of his forehead and then back.
Then in an instance, he switched to Arcanis, then to Nightshade, and back to Drakonis. He continue switching, like a bulb, Void eyes to green, red to greenish blue and then finally green.
Stunned yet excited, he raised his hand before his eyes, searching for a hint of exhaustion or the feeling of his body shutting down, but there was nothing.
It was like he didn't even use up any energy at all.
"What do you think?" Vasquez asked, gaining Uravis' attention once again, he watched a smile appear on his face. His excitement remained permanent not wavering one bit.
"Thank you," he uttered sincerely, "I promise to pay you back for this," he added but then Vasquez responded with a chuckle and shook his head.
"I don't need anything, unless," he tilted his head, a smirk etching up his face, replacing his smile, "A kiss"
"I would rather die," Uravis said instantly, his expression turning dead serious. "Name anything else."
"You let me cuddle you."
"No."
"Twelve rounds."
Uravis gave him a disgusted look, "You are a sick man."
Vasquez grinned, "I know, and you love me like that."
"If you keep this up I am going to die of cringe," Uravis admitted as he rubbed his eyes, "Oh yeah, I haven't seen your face."
Vasquez raised his hand to his chest and sighed, "I would be honored to even peel off everything."
"You know what," Uravis laughed nervously, slowly turning to walk away, "I am satisfied with the mask."
That being said, he walked off leaving Vasquez behind while he laughed his heart out.
______
Drakonis stood before the Alliance and the Rogue' guild, with Seraphina, Torvald and Vasquez beside him, waiting in silence as he addressed the army.
"We move into the city in pairs, five at most, do not act suspicious and stay out of trouble. We meet at Darkhold, the Void Serpent's fortress and begin our attack."
"Only attack when one of us gives a signal, search every nook and cranny of the fortress and bring back anything you think is reasonable," Drakonis paused, searching his thoughts for something else but Vasquez continued before he could.
"And no matter what, stay together and eliminate who ever gets in your way," Vasquez chipped in, earning a loud cheer from the army.
"In your five pairs, A mage or shape shifter for safety purposes. Understood," he added and they responded once again, earning a frown from Drakonis.
"You can't just ask them to eliminate who gets in their way, what if its a kid?" Drakonis whispered after dragging Vasquez aside. "It is very risky."
"This is why I like Vendetta more," Vasquez replied with a cold, tone, not pleased with Uravis' sympathy, his arms crossed to his chest, "He would not care, even if it happened to be a toddler."
"I doubt that. Withdraw your statement right now."
"I won't, If you actually want to protect your army, you give effective orders," Vasquez responded, setting his mind on his decision.
Drakonis sighed, already tired of speaking. But he felt Vasquez was right. To protect ones team, you have to go an extent and Vasquez seems to one who would do anything.
And that was what he did with his first teammates, he neglected sleep for them and they did the same.
He smiled to himself, proud that he recruited a mentally, emotionally and physically strong ally. At least he wouldn't bother about overthinking when Vasquez is by his side.
He gave Torvald the final orders and watched as they paired up and mounted their different transports. The Rogues barely used transport, many had flight and other used dragons and sand worms.
Effective for stealth.
Drakonis mounted the eagle, since it was the best for a mission like this. Silent and fast.
And they took off, all moving in the same direction, both in air and on land.
Elyria was with him, her fists wrapped tightly around the collar, around the eagle's neck, while Drakonis sat behind her, busy with the glass slab, as he created different plan and attack strategies.
While Claire moved with Seraphina and Torvald.
Thanks to Vasquez and his connections, he managed to get communicators to give orders even if he was far from the army.
"Vasquez," Drakonis called as he raised his head form the glass slab, raising his hand to push back the strands if hair that the he wind pushed into his face and turned to Vasquez who moved in the direction of the wind flawlessly.
Vasquez turned his head to Drakonis, still not stopping, he mouthed a 'What'? and slowed down, letting the wind pass by without him.
"Lead half of the team west, I'll go east."
"Is that necessary?"
"Do you want a war to start for no reason?" Drakonis asked in return, casting a side glance at Vasquez.
Unfortunately, his expression turned to annoyance when Vasquez smirked, his eyes slowly gleaming. He already knew what he was going to say.
"Ye...."
"No, Go west," Drakonis cut him off before he could finish and gestured at Elyria to direct the eagle east.
Vasquez simply chuckled then shook his head and moved west at the same time, giving orders to half of the team to split up as well.
However, amidst all this, the Fortress already had her guard up with a million warriors ready for the raid.
