The soft light from the sun spilled into the room as Uravis lay next to Ummi, his arm wrapped protectively around her waist.

Her breathing was steady, her face calm—almost innocent enough to fool someone into thinking they had only slept in this room.

Her hair was sprawled across the bed and over her face. He brushed a strand away as he gazed at her.

Suddenly, a smile appeared on his face, but it quickly fell as reality hit him. "I wish it could be this peaceful forever," he whispered, slowly withdrawing his arm from her and standing up.

He walked over to the swivel chair in the corner of the room and dropped himself into the seat. Turning to the screen, he checked to see if his setup was working.

When he turned it on, Terranova's face popped up, worry replacing her usual sunny demeanor. She looked like she hadn't slept in days.
