Terranova stared at Uravis, her brow furrowing with disbelief. "You're insane if your think we can keep the Ascender Games running in the middle of all this chaos."

"Not insane, strategic," Uravis replied, his tone low but steady. "The void serpent thrives on disorder. If we keep the games running, we're telling him we are in control. Even if we aren't. It'll force him to adjust his plans, giving Vasquez the opening he needs."

Terranova crossed her arms, frustration etched across her face, "And what about you? You're planning to waltz into his fortress and what? Charm him with your wit."

Uravis smirked, "That's why I have to see Claire before sending her to Ummi. And besides Vendetta wasn't actually just a name, it's a promise. A promise I intend to keep."
