Jack has told us not to venture out of the defense wall for the next two days and meet him at the Hunter's Guild on the 3rd day so we can start our training. This made me feel like everything has been planned already.
As per my research, a squad will have up to 14 members and right now in our team there are only 8 members including me. I can't think of anything other than they are waiting for more people to join or since it is an elite squad, are they trying to move people around to make it a small, but a deadly squad.
We already have two Low-E graders, myself and Dawn. The others are at Mid-F except for the team leader whom we have no idea about his grade, but he is stronger than anyone I have ever met in my life.
Either they are going to move others to a low level squad and get more E graders for our team or get more people to boost our numbers. Either way, it is going to be difficult for me as I am not sure how the new people will work with us and help us to increase our power.
For the next two days, I work on my element control as it will help me in many ways. This will need a lot of time and concentration, but I have no way to practice Ice Wave inside the house. So, with no other option, I have decided to work on this and see how effective it will be.
Even after the two days of training, I am unable to increase my element control even by a fraction, but I am not upset about it as I have learned a few things about Ice element during that time. I will be able to increase my attack and defence, even my speed if I can control my element even a little, but now is not the time for it.
I reach the ore refining factory by 9:00 AM sharp and can see my squad waiting for the arrival of our team leader to know what to do at the front of the gate. I am surprised to see them standing in the open in front of an abandoned ore factory.
I am little angry as I know myself and Jack have taught them better than this. When they see me slowing my bike, Snowfa as usual shows a childish smile waving at me. I just go close to the gate and open it by scanning my holowatch near the gate lock and tell the other to get in.
Once I park my bike in a corner so the people from outside can't see it, I remove my helmet and look at them with anger in my eyes. Even if the kids are like this, I am mostly upset because of Dawn who is also with them right now.
She knows better than this as the email we received yesterday regarding this training facility clearly says it is a secret that should not revealed to anyone like the rest of the information we have received so far and still they stood out there for everyone in the town to see.
I ask them to follow me and go to the backside of the factory which has a wall of 10 meters and see Jack waiting for us with a smile. I can see he is looking at a screen projecting the perimeter of the factory and which confuses me.
He knows the team is standing outside for some time, but he did not come out to let them in. I am not sure how long he is in as I know Snowfa would have been the first person to reach the factory and how did he manage to get past her without her knowing.
"Team Leader, How ca.." I try to ask him what's happening, but he raises his hand signaling me to stay quiet. I wanted to know what is his plan to use this small factory as it will not be enough for all of us to train individually and I will have to focus on the Ice Wave which is my top priority now.
He takes a few steps away from the wall and flashes his holowatch on the pillar that is kept to support the ceiling.
BEEP BEEP
Brrrrrrr
I hear beep sound that signals the approval in having proper authorization and the ground we are standing starts to vibrate a little and it starts to split open with little sound. Looks like this secret door hasn't been used in a while.
The opening looks like a square of about 4 meters and a lift comes out of it and opens with a 'WOOSH'
Jack looks at us and signals us to enter the lift. I know there will be a secret place for us to train, but never know it will be under the ground where we are standing right now. And I can see the entire team is as surprised as I am looking at him and the lift that has come up.
Even Dawn, who doesn't get surprised easily has kept her mouth open in awe. Regaining the composure, I go inside the lift and stand in a corner crossing my hand over my chest looking at the rest of the team.
I also check the interior of the lift and again surprised to see there is only one button blinking in red inside the lift with a scanner on top of it. Except for this place, the entire lift is in metallic grey color with nothing else inside.
Dawn follows my lead entering the lift which brings the rest of the team out of their stupor and start entering one by one. I can see Jack standing outside the lift with stern look on his face, but I can see a slight curve of smile on his lips that he is trying to hide.
After all of us enter the lift, he also enters the lift. I know the place we are going to train is a secret only we can know, but I never knew that it has a secret entrance to reach the training facility in the first place.
