In the span of several months, did William finally understand what hell truly was. Adam had tormented him and shredded any ounce of repetition he had. He was starting to run out of excuses to tell his father and eventually resorted to using makeup to cover any bruises he had.
William was well aware of his father's mental condition. Despite Mr. Turner never let it slip it was clear he was depressed, so Will decided to never tell his father about the bullying. He was afraid of burdening his father and making him descend into a more depressed state for not being able to protect his own son.
Having been used as a punching bag the day before, getting up from bed made his body ache. He felt like shit and looked the part too. William took his time with getting ready, no longer caring whether he was late or not.
"Will! You're gonna be late!" His father called out from the bottom of the steps.
William sighed, rubbing his forehead. He didn't want to be there. He walked down the stairs, his body feeling heavier with every step. It was like everything in his body was screaming at him not to go, to call in sick, or skip. Despite all that, he refused. He knew if he stayed home or skipped his father would be worried. He couldn't have that.
William headed straight for the door before being stopped by his father. "Hey Kiddo, why don't I drive you to school?" Mr.Turner asked, his voice soft and quiet. He had noticed the odd behaviors his son was showing. He felt like his son was ignoring him. Mr.Turner was afraid that he hated him for being such a horrible father. If only he knew the truth.
Deciding not to strain his body anymore, Will agreed. The whole car ride was quiet with only small talks here and there. He didn't feel like talking. He was afraid he'd accidentally say the truth and confess to the abuse he's suffered, so he stayed quiet.

He felt his stomach churn as he stood at the gates of the school. When Will walked through the hallways he could swear there were eyes on him. He was paranoid that someone would come and beat the shit out of him. They weren't staring at all. They were simply minding their own business not wanting to associate with a dog. They found it pointless to think of something so trivial.
A swift kick to the gut greeted William as he entered the classroom. He fell to the ground trying his best to keep himself from hurling. He held tightly onto his stomach doing what he could to suppress the pain. He looked up to find Adam King exasperated, but when didn't he?
"Why the hell weren't you answering my texts?" King questioned with a snarl as he grabbed William's face forcing him to look up at him. William didn't flinch, he was used to this by now. It no longer affected him like it used to. He just felt empty.
The answer to Adam's question was simple: William just didn't want to. He was exhausted and in pain. When he saw Adam calling last night he chose to let the phone ring rather than pick it up. Was he going to tell King that? No, because if he did he knew he would get beat worse than all the other days. William took a deep breath taking a minute to think of an excuse. "My father took away my phone..." He muttered quietly.
Adam rolled his eyes with a scoff before grabbing William by his hair. He pulled him to his feet causing Will to hiss in pain. His scalp was on fire by the amount of force King had used. Adam grinned as he stared into William's eyes. All he could see was disgust in Adam's."Was it because he was disappointed in you? Isn't your father that sad fuck at that caf-"
Smack!
King held his cheek in his hand as he stared at William with vexation. Blinded by rage. William then tackled Adam to the ground recklessly throwing punches as he screamed. Adam easily took over pushing Will back. He stood up and began to kick William relentlessly. He seethed with undeniable anger.
"WHO"
Whack!
"THE FUCK"
Whack!
"DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!"
William curled up in a ball trying to shield himself from the assault. He couldn't believe his own stupidity. How could he slap Adam like that? What the hell was wrong with him? He knew he'd have to come up with one hell of an excuse for his father this time.

William hissed as his skin was met with an ice pack. "Seriously Wills? What the hell was going through your mind?" Nathaniel berated him as he examined the newly formed discolored splotches on his skin. The two had become close friends with Willaim's frequent visits to the nurse's office. Nathaniel was a nurse's aid always filling in at lunch when she wasn't there. Which she never was.
Nathaniel was even the one to suggest William use makeup when the bruises got ugly. He was the one person he could rely on. All his other friends had ditched him as soon as he became the school's dog. Nathaniel stuck with him through everything. They even hung out outside of school. They both found it too risky to spend time with each other during class because of Adam.
"I...I don't know...he just started talking bad about my dad and I..." He mumbled his gaze hitting the floor.
Nathaniel just sighed and shook his head. He then went to grab the makeup kit from the other room "I don't mean to sound discouraging or anything, but I hate seeing you like this. I think...I think maybe you should just go online..." He recommended his voice bouncing off the walls.
The words were in fact discouraging. Willaim felt pathetic for not being to stand up for himself. He clenched his fists tightly. He closed his eyes remembering the exhilaration he felt when he slapped Adam; the satisfaction of it all. He wished that he had the strength to beat Adam to a pulp. Why did Adam get to live such a happy life while William suffered? He was always paranoid thinking about what might happen to him next while Adam was planning his demise.
William gritted his teeth. He wanted...no he needed revenge, but how? "Should I just beat him up...? I could always just train, wait but then school will just get in the way..." He thought to himself, that's when Nathaniel's words popped into his head. "I wouldn't have to worry about that if..." A grin crept on his face as he had finally come up with the perfect idea for payback.
As Nathaniel walked into the room, he was shocked to see William smiling like some madman. For someone who had just gotten beaten up, William was strangely cheerful. "Wills...you uhm good?" He asked cautiously. He wondered if William had finally snapped. William then sprung up and grabbed onto Nathniel's shoulders with a wide smile adoring his face.
"Thanks Nathaniel, I have the perfect plan!" With that, William ran out the door without another word.
Nathaniel was confused. What just happened? He regrets not asking William what he was talking about. He wished that he could go back, because after that day, William Turner never returned. In fact he didn't see him for two years.
