Lucy racked her brain—no spirit matched this bizarre form!
Baluge's look floored her.
Then, under Lucy, Natsu, and Happy's stunned stares—

Baluge vanished in a puff of white smoke, retreating to the Celestial Spirit World.
She'd accepted Weiss's offer?!

With Virgo back in the Spirit World and on board, they pressed deeper to find the mansion's library.
Along the way, Lucy pieced together Virgo's deal.
Clinging to Weiss, she swelled with gratitude for his play.
Natsu and Happy, though, lost interest—zero spark there.
Ten minutes later, after swatting aside a few quirky maids, they hit the massive library.
They split up, hunting the commission's target: the book Daybreak.
"Oh! Found a golden book!"
Natsu leapt, waving a gilded tome, hollering with glee.
"Get serious!"
Lucy slid down the ladder, scolding the duo.
But her words caught—her eyes widened.
The author's signature stunned and thrilled her!
Seeing Daybreak on the cover, everyone froze.
The mission target—found that fast?!
Weiss sighed inwardly—protagonist luck at work.
Just messing around, and Natsu nabbed it!
Target in hand, Natsu primed to torch it.
Lucy balked.
Her idol's work—Natsu couldn't burn it!
Then—
Boom!
Duke Everlue erupted from the library floor!
"Hahaha! So this book's your goal?"
"Wondered what you wizards were after."
"This trash heap?!"
Everlue sneered.
"Trash?"
"The client shelled out 2 million Jewel to trash it, and even its owner, Everlue, calls it garbage?"
Lucy, Natsu, and Happy gaped at Everlue's disdain.
They hadn't pegged this high-stakes book as a dud!
"If it's trash, why not hand it over?"
Lucy's eyes gleamed, smiling at Weiss and Natsu.
Weiss, her guy, had no beef.
Natsu opened his mouth—but Everlue cut in, fuming.
"No way! What's mine stays mine!"
"Stingy!"
Lucy pouted.
"Chatty dinosaur girl."
Everlue, taste warped, pinched his nose, deadpan.
Thud!
"Dinosaur girl" floored Lucy—Weiss's warning rang true!
"Hmph! Burn it, and we win!"
Bang!
Natsu skipped chit-chat, stating the mission's win condition.
"No! This book stays unburned!"
Lucy hugged Daybreak tight, her rare bratty streak flaring.
"Lucy! It's our job!"
Natsu turned, dead serious.
He wouldn't let her whims tank this.
"Then let me read it first!"
Pouting at Natsu's sternness, Lucy cracked Daybreak, plopped by Weiss's feet, and dove in.
"Here?!"
Everlue, Natsu, and Happy gawked.
This girl's guts!
Weiss chuckled, shaking his head.
"Lucy, read here."
He ruffled her blonde hair, voice soft but brimming with authority.
"Damn you! Touching my grand legacy's book!"
"Vanish Brothers—out!"
Everlue's rage boiled over, summoning his muscle!
