Chapter Twenty-Four: Catra

The spell they would use to transform Daniel from an Angel to a demon, was a thousand times more difficult than the spell that Catra tried using1 to transform him from human to demon.

The spell that had gone wrong in the first place.

Bethan would lead the spell, with Catra lending the strength of her intrinsic magic to the witch. Bethan would have to perform a large death spell on Daniel, and Catra could not participate because she still could not perform any magic on her mate that threatened to hurt him.

The Fates had really not left any loopholes in their mating bond at all, Catra thought, as Daniel sank to his knees in the center of the circle, influenced by the strength of their magic.

Catra and Bethan were still chanting the spell that they had written several hours earlier. The spell was a hodgepodge of old and new magic.
