The Harmony Flavour Festival.

Chris said the festival starts at afternoon and ends at evening, I was pretty hyped for the fireworks. He said that the main outfits people wear are yukatas, kimonos and tunics.

"You have any of those three right?" He asked to which I nodded. He said the name is the Harmony Flavour Festival, it's celebrated to acknowledge the good things in life like food and music. There are parades, games, karaoke and a whole bunch of other things. But it was 10:00 in the morning and the event starts at 2:00 in the afternoon, so I had to keep myself busy. That wasn't hard to do, like all the brothers expect for Chris were constantly asking me to do something for them.

"Hey Jade. What's one of the best detective book to read?" Kristen asked me.

"Hmm. I think that would be Murder Town." I replied unsure about my answer, unsure as in does that even exist in this world. He gave me a thumbs up before leaving.

"Only an asshole like Vlad would think otherwise." He said while leaving. What kind of relationship does he even have with Vlad? Suddenly Luke came barging in holding up two headphones, one neon glowing purple and blue the other was glowing white with X designs on it.

"Jaaaaaade! You've gotta help me!" He exclaimed like it was a life or death situation. I looked at him confused.

"Ok. What is it?" I asked him.

"I have this DJ gig at Frasco Club and I don't know which headphones to use. Help!!!!!" He replied, his voice showing that he could have a breakdown. I faceplamed myself, this guy is so annoying.

"That one." I groaned while pointing at the purple and blue one, he mumbled some sort of thank you and ran off bumping into Jayden. He didn't apologize, and Jayden just shrugged until I heard him swearing underneath his breath.

"Dumbass" he muttered, his black hair in a total mess and his blue eyes looking deadpan and tired, he had a hoodie tied around his waist band and was in a tank top. He was wet with only God knows what.

"I need your help." He simply said, I stared at him waiting for him to continue. "I sorta made my dad's whole garage dirty, like everything is dirty and I can't clean it by myself and if I ask my brothers they'll snitch on me. Soooooo." He said while fidgeting with his fingers as his face showed obvious signs of embrassment. "Can you help me?" He asked while looking down. The guy who hated it when other people don't look at him was avoiding my gaze. Well I was in shorts and a sleeveless shirt so what's the harm?

"Will we finish before 2?" I asked him, he nodded quickly.

"It is 11. So by 1 we can be done." He replied, I followed him to the garage it wasn't that large but still. It was large, there were only six cars and one motorcycle. He threw me a hose and a sponge that had soap on it, we started cleaning the cars not talking for a while.

"Soooo your date....." Jayden began while looking at me nonchalantly, I looked at him confused.

"Date? What date?" I asked.

"Your date with Chris. Where you guys going?" He said while hosing one of the cars, my cheeks went red.

"We're going for the Harmony Flavour Festival and it's not a date." I replied trying to keep my calm, Jayden laughed mockingly.

"You sure? Your cheeks are red." He teased. That just made my cheeks go on fire.

"I'm sure! Shut up!" I shouted embrassed, he kept laughing at me. I got annoyed and hosed him. "I said shut up!" I yelled still embrassed, he went silent for a while before I realised his hand moving for a hose.

"Hey what you do-" I was about to ask but he hosed my words down with water.

"Hey! What was that for?!" I asked while he started laughing at me.

"I was cooling you off. Since you were blushing so hard." He replied when he regained his composure.

"Is that so?" I asked and immediately hosed him down again, soon we were chasing eachother and hosing eachother down with water.

"Quit running and lemme hose you down!" He said as he chased me, I stuck my tongue out at him.

"You can't catch me." I teased, yea. I spoke to soon as I slipped and landed on my butt, that made Jayden laugh so hard as he helped me up.

"You sure~?" He asked me as he pulled me up but he ending up slipping and making me land on top of him, our faces just being inches apart.

"I-I err. Sorry!" I stammered as I jumped off him and helped him up. He simply smiled and said:

"Thanks for helping me out!" He said as I walked off.

"No problem." I replied as I left. I entered the living room and saw the grandfather clock. It was 1o'clock. I needed to get dressed, I entered the room I shared with Luke and Jayden. No one was around, good. I found my red floral patterned kimono and started wearing it. It was easy, I looked in the mirror and realized how wet my hair was, I didn't have time to dry it so I used a towel to dry it off. Great now my hair is in a mess but I didn't care about that. I just tied it in a bun. I descended down the stairs and spotted Chris in a navy blue yukata, on his phone. He looked up at me and smiled.

"Nice kimono." He complimented as he held out his hand, I felt obligated to hold it.

"Thanks." I found myself muttering. He patted my hair. "I also I like your hair." He stated before leading me out. I couldn't help but find myself blushing. We walked down to this town that looked like a traditional Japanese town, there were food stalls everywhere and some people holding kites of different kinds walking around. Music was everywhere.

"Want to eat something?" He asked me.

"I guess ice-cream will do." I replied he bought me a chocolate chip ice-cream while we walked around and watched the parade. There was this guy who was jungling torches, some were dancers but I loved the puppeteers. With the dragon, lantern and musical instruments puppets soon evening came and more music played. Suddenly Chris gently tapped my shoulder.

"The fireworks are about to start. Wanna go see them at the pool side? That's the best place to see it." He asked me to which I nodded, he took my hand gently and led me to the poolside. No one was there it was just the two of us, we sat down waiting for the fireworks.

"Hey, Jade." Chris said I turned to him.

"Yea?" I asked him.

"Close your eyes. I have a surprise for you." He said I was confused but I complied, I felt something touch my hair with a clipping sound. Suddenly I heard a snap and immediately opened my eyes, Chris was holding his phone.

"You took a picture of me?!" I asked him.

"Yea, I wanted to show you the surprise." He said as he handed me his phone. There was a hairpin shaped in a treble clef form on my hair.

"I got it for you. As a welcome gift and an apology. I'm really sorry for the car incident." He said while avoiding my gaze his hand covering his mouth, he was blushing.

"Chris it's OK. And thanks. I really appreciate it." I said, he loves surprised but at the same time relieved. Suddenly a light ignited in the sky, we looked up and saw the fireworks display, with different colours and styles. A dragon, lanterns, musical notes and food. It went on for a while. Then it stopped. I looked at Chris.

"That was amazing. Thank you." I said and I don't what happened to me but I hugged him tightly. I felt his arms wrap around me. I suddenly want to let go. We went home afterwards and I laid on my bed holding my hairpin in my hand looking at it with content.

"I'll forever cherish this memory." I thought before dozing off.
