There are more of you?!

I woke up to a bright light hitting my face from the windows.

"Hmmph. Jayden close the curtain." I groaned from annoyance as I unwillingly opened my eyes only to see no one was around. Guess they had already gotten out of bed, but it's a weekend they don't get up early on weekends. I checked every inch of the room, they weren't there.

Not in their bathroom.

They weren't even hiding under their beds (Luke once did that.) Where could they be?

"Finally, you're awake." A voice said. I was expecting to see Luke or Jayden but I turned to see a male with long black hair, golden eyes and tanned skin. The thing that was creepiest me out was the fact he had a golden halo with wings, I screamed as I threw a pillow at him which he dodged. I've never seen him in the game or anywhere else before. What sick trick is this?

"Ever thought that I'm not from the game?" The stranger asked, making me freak out again.

"You can read minds?" I asked to which he nodded. Suddenly I looked at Luke's DJ set and took a bunch of discs from there.

"Well listen up. If you come any closer to me. I swear I'm going to-" I began to say but was cut off when the stranger shot an actual light beam at the discs, burning them.

"Listen, me being here is already dangerous." The stranger said as he stared at me with an intensity that made me uncomfortable. "My name is Xavier and I'm a friend of Lucia." He added. I felt my jaw tighten, Lucia. As in the Lucia who put me in this game last year for the entertainment of her fellow god friends? The Lucia who's threatening to keep me here for an extra year? That Lucia?! Wait.... If this Xavier is a friend of Lucia doesn't that mean.....

"You're a god." I finally managed to breathe out. Xavier simply nodded.

"And why are you here?" I asked as I slowly sat on Luke's bed, Xavier sighed before staring at me.

"Listen I'm only going to say this once. We both know you can't leave the game until the story is completed and you raise your intimacy level to a reasonable point with all the characters. Right?" He asked.

"And without them noticing I'm not from this world" I added.

"Well I have good news, bad news and horrible news which do you wanna hear?" He asked me.

"Bad news." I replied.

"The developers of the game never thought about a complete storyline." Xavier said, my eyes widened in shock. What can of game developers don't know how their own damn game will end? How did they even start the plot? scratch that. Their lives don't have a plot.

"The good news?" I asked

"Well I once heard Lucia saying that one of the game's storywriters has an alternative ending for the game and she'll use that one for you. And she has decided to remove the amount of time you have to complete the game." Xavier explained, I felt my heart leap.

"Really? That's great!" I squealed as I jumped excitedly all over the room but paused mid jump as one question rang in my head:

"What's the horrible news?" I asked Xavier. His face darkened, his eyes devoid of emotion.

"My brother may kill you before you complete this game." Xavier said.

"You have a brother?" I asked.

"Xander, the god of psychopathy and bloodlust. He's the reason you're here and you're not the first girl to be put here." Xavier explained, I could feel goosebumps on my skin. What did he mean by I wasn't the first girl put in this game?

"Before you, there were other girls from your world. Put into this game, Xander killed them when he claimed they became boring. He manipulates Lucia to think being the guardian of worlds is a crappy role, so she tries to prove herself by sending different girls into this game. As soon as one girl dies, Xander erases everyone's memory card restarts the game. Putting another girl in." Xavier explained, my heart started beating faster. So Lucia wasn't joking when she said some of the gods wanted me dead.

"How does he kill them?" I asked, Xavier stared at me as if collecting his thoughts.

"His most common method is by snapping their necks." Xavier said "But there have been different methods used." He added.

"Like?" I asked.

"Well there was Sonya. She nearly achieved the ending and she was with Vlad. Xander made Vlad lose his sanity and brutally stab Sonya to death before restarting the game and putting another girl in. He also made a girl called Benedicta watch the rest of the characters die tramuatizing deaths before she jumped off a cliff, another girl-" Xavier was about to say but I cut him off.

"I think I've heard enough" I said. "So what about the other person in this game with me? Have you seen them?" I asked. Xavier looked at me surprised.

"There are two of you here?" He asked me to which I nodded.

"Lucia said she put them in another character's body." I said.

"Fucking hell Lucia." I heard Xavier mumbled under his breath. "I haven't met them yet then. And Lucia never told anyone about that." Xavier said to me.

"So what do we do?" I asked him.

"Just continue what you were doing, but if I were you. I'm glad I'm not. I'd start investigating the potholes in this world. That would cause some drama and I don't think Xander would try to kill you easily if you keep things interesting." Xavier replied as he started walking backwards from me.

"Well this is bye for now then." I said, Xavier simply nodded as he teleported away.

So there are more gods and one wants me dead. What a way to start the weekend.
