Witches

We got to a library on the far end of town and other people wearing the pointy hats and different attire had come in here also as Vince spoke to a few people I sat down with a small book it was black but it read in simple words understanding basic magic.

It was simple enough you wave the twig recite a few words channel some sort of energy... Who am I kidding this was really difficult to read. I looked around the room at some others who would wave there little sticks or wands as they called them and books would come down the shelf on there own into there hands or levitate above there palms it was so mystifying. Soon enough though Vincent had came over with a smile.

"I'll bring you here once a week to study and when your ready you can practice magic." He grinned like he had achieved something maybe this was actually really hard for him to do so maybe I should give him some credit he was a vampire.

"Thank you." I said softly as he escorted me out of the library place and he walked me through town when we were stopped by Issac.

"Whoa you mean the tribute pet had a witch mark? That's awesome!!!!" He said eyeing me and I froze up when Vincent began to growl.

"Easy there big guy Im not gonna snatch her i wasn't aware you'd be so protective of a human I guess, You fed from her then she must taste pretty damn good if that's how your gonna be." Issac said stepping back a few steps was he actually scared of Vince?

Vincent stopped and composed himself. "No sorry I don't know what came over me excuse us Issac."

I was drug away by Vincent back to the house and when we got inside he quickly went upstairs so I started to look for something for lunch. I was still a little full from breakfast but maybe Vince was hungry.

I set the hat on the table and looked in the cupboard and was stunned to find it completely empty... So I checked the next then the next and then I stopped in my tracks as I looked at the chest used to preserve goods they held a natural coolness... I turned and stepped into the living room and smoothed the shirt down some as I glanced up Vincent was walking down the stairs his face covered in droplets of water.

"Are you alright?"

His gaze turned to me and he continued forward until his arm was around my waist.

"Yea I am now I'm sorry. Where is your hat?"

He was weirdly close to me but maybe it's just how they did things or maybe he just couldn't hear me very well since I spoke so quietly...

"I left it on the table I was going to prepare lunch but um ... I mean if you were hungry that is."

He glanced at the kitchen then to me before placing his nose against my neck in a off way as he spoke softly.

"I am but I don't need meals like you do as often tell me can humans eat meat?"

"oh um yes I've just never had it before is all."

I said nervously unable to nod in this position his arms around me like I was some kind of doll.

"Good girl." His voice growled out. I got a chill up my spine. He slowly let go of me as he studied my face before going to the kitchen I sat down and sighed softly I had been holding my breath this whole time... There is definitely something wrong with him... I slowly leaned back against the couch and when I did a hot plate was set in my lap with a piece of red meat dripping with ... Blood.

"Oh um Vincent I don't think I can eat thi.." My words stopped as he gently sliced into the soft flesh and brought it to my lips.

"Non since you need food and nourishment so open wide "

I did as I was told he was honestly starting to scare me. I opened my mouth and the soft red meet went in he waited and I chewed slowly. It was kinda gross. He took another when I finally swallowed and did the same thing lasted about 15 min.s and I hugged my stomach. "I feel unwell." I said softly as Vincent's face was struck with concern.

"It wasn't to much was it?" He asked slowly as he set the plate aside.

"No humans just don't eat meat um.. raw.. we heat it cooking it."

Vincent slowly nodded. "I see I wasn't aware I'll fetch a healer just stay there."

And like that he was gone. I laid down slowly feeling my stomach curl and turn I think I was gonna be ... The door slammed open and Vincent had a person on his shoulder and just tossed them down on the floor.

"Fix her. Fix her now." He demanded.

The smaller woman cowered and hurried over to me she was still taller then me and she quickly took my temperature and such before walking into the kitchen I glanced at Vince.

"she is terrified what did you do?"

"Don't bother she is just a human slave Isaacs she can fix you."

I raised a brow as I sat up. "Vince I'm a human."

"Your a witch your better then them."

He said sternly as the lady walked back with a tea it was pungent and had allot of herbs but I lifted it and thanked her and swallowed every last drop. I sighed heavily placing the cup down as Vincents eyes gleamed red.

"Out with you you know where you belong you've done your job"

The woman scurried off quickly and I coughed. Vincent's eyes are now on me. He then lifted me like I was nothing and carried me up the stairwell and came into a room with a big bed as he laid me down and unbraided my hair he curled up beside me.

"Rest I'll keep you safe." Is all I heard before I blacked out.
