First day

If they found their new company, they ( will earn- would earn- would have earned) alot of money.

"As you all know, stat exams are divided into 5 exams, 2 virtual: Perception and Endurance, 3 real: Mana, Strength and Stamina.

They will be held in order of real first, then the virtual both together, the exams will be explained thoroughly on exam day."

Oliver paused, then started rummaging through his files.

"Now, onto today's subject. An introduction into the influence of Mana in the science world."

The lecture lasted about 2 hours, which Ethan spent most of it sleeping, while William focused on every word coming out of the professor's mouth.

'It's so interesting learning about applications of a magical energy like Mana in the real world!'

In the real world, William's world, there was no energy like Mana that could directly influence the outside world. There was indeed something close to Mana, but it couldn't be transfered directly outside the body.

After sensing that the professor has finishing, Ethan grumpily awoke and took a long look at the engrossed William, and spoke to him while yawning.

"You seem very interested in stuff like this."

He asked him.

"Yeah, it truly is fascinating if you think about it."

William responded with a wide smile on his face.

"It sure is, actually, I heard you were in building 32, me too actually! Want to return together?"

Ethan suggested, which prompted a shocked look on William's face for a second which quickly returned to normal.

"Yeah sure, why not."

'What the hell kind of luck is this!'

Although stoic on the outside, inside William was extremely happy, the novel never mentioned what building Ethan lived in, but he never expected it to be the same as him!

The two boys then got up, got out of the classroom, and started making their way home.

William entered his apartment after exchanging goodbyes with Ethan, who lived on the floor above him. They had also exchanged contacts, so they could go to school together.

"This truly couldn't have got better."

On his first day, he had already achieved his goal, which was to befriend Ethan. Now, he only had to train to get stronger, and after the stat exams, his stay in the academy will be nearly assured.

"What weapon should I choose?"

William was now laying on his bed using his phone. Oscar had mentioned that through the academy app on the phone, you could access your student profile and change your weapon through it, first weapon free, the rest one hundred thousand dollars a piece.

"What weapons are actually available?

Spears? Don't know how to use 'em.

Daggers? Don't know how to use 'em.

Swords? Do know how to use 'em, but not good enough.

Guns? Yeah, perfect."

William already knew how to use guns, so he could choose it temporarily until he learns how to use a sword properly. So he placed an order for a gun.

*Ding Dong*

Which arrived almost immediately.

It was a midnight black Glock 19, which had magazines of 18 rounds each with the box it came in.

*Whistle*"What a beauty, certainly worth 100k"

William paused for a second.

"Actually, let's check how much money I have."

William already knew that he was an orphan from his student profile, he didn't care much as he was also an order before he came here.

He went on the central bank's website and checked his account balance, not expecting it to be much.

"ONE BILLION!"

William sprung out from his bed, shocked by the amount of money.

"WHAT THE HELL DID THIS BODY DO BEFORE I CAME, I AM 100% GETTING INVESTIGATED OR SOMETHING!"

It was an absurd amount of money, that will no doubt arise the suspicion of the government. It was surprising the tax people haven't come to his door yet!

"Fucking hell! A million would have been good, but a billion? Too much, way too much!"

With adrenaline coursing through his body, William thought it was the perfect time to train.

He entered the room with the panel and He went over to the panel, which was in the middle of the room.

"Sooo... How do I activate this?"

First he tried waving his hand over the screen, nothing happened. Then he touched the panel, and something did happen. A holographic screen appeared Infront of him, written on it was

"Choose your settings by saying them out loud."

William read this and started thinking about what to choose.

"Uh... Just a shooting range?"

Immediately after saying this a blinding blue light filled the room forcing him to close his eyes. After the light dimmed out, he started opening his eyes to see that the room has had miraculous change.

Firstly the room had gotten a lot bigger and was now divided into three sections, each with a banner written above it. The one on the right had Easy, the middle had Regular, while the left had Hard.

"Damn, this is really impressive."

After thinking for a bit, he first decided to head to the easy section.

It was basically a normal shooting range, and the target appeared to be 10 meters away. After he approached the stand, he cocked the pistol, took aim, and

*Bang* *Bang* *Bang*

He shot three rounds, and then recalled the target.

"Nice."

Out of the three bullets, two hit the head while one hit the chest. Although William was still young, It was not his first time shooting a pistol, as since he was young, Mister Roberts used to take him to basic shooting lessons.

"This is too easy, looks like I am going straight to Hard"

After his performance in the Easy difficulty, he was feeling very smug. So he decided to go straight to Hard. Approaching the Hard section, he was confused to find there was no target?

"Where the hell is it?"

Suddenly a voice responded

"The target is 1000 meters, Or 1 Kilometer away."

"A KILOMETER???? How am I supposed to do that with a pistol??"

"You do not have to do it with a pistol. And also a pistol with Mana infused bullets can hit targets up to 3 Kilometers away."

"What about the regular difficulty? How much is it?"

"The target in Regular difficulty is 100 meters away."

"Alot more reasonable that is."

Going over to the Regular difficulty section and checking it out, he decided to continue his training there.
