Battle of the Overseers part 2

Jake pulled a long thin blade out and started walking towards the wolf.  Then he vanished and was right behind the wolf. There was a slash on the wolf's side. He vanished again and when he reappeared there was another slash on the side of the wolf.

"Haha. I knew u had some spunk kid." the wolf said. "My name is Jin Song. The Mountain Wolf.

"Is that supposed to mean something to me," Jake responded.

"You'd die not knowing how you stood no chance. Historical. Jin laughed. Jake was done listening to the wolf and vanished again. This time when he appeared, the wolf was gone, then appeared next to him with his huge fist cocked back ready to swing, but again Jake was gone. The atmosphere changed again and everything felt like it was frozen in time. Jake's sword was emitting electricity, and his eyes were glowing, seemingly electrifying. He disappeared and clashed with Jin. Jin grew his nails so they were as long as small swords, and he was clawing back and forth, keeping up with Jake's new speed. But, of course, unexpectedly there was a large slash from behind him. It was Cindy. Keeping her word and staying vigilant for any openings, she charged her strongest attack and aimed if at his back. Jin kept pace and kept up with Jake, then pushed, threw and slapped Jake to the side with his forearm.

Jake landed on his feet and skidded back. He noticed all the wounds on Jin were already healing. Including the big slash Cindy got clean on him.

"Cindy run", Jake instructed. She actually did as she was told and took off running in the opposite direction. She looked back and saw Jin vanish and appear slapping Jake. This time he just flew crashing, threw buildings and bounced off the ground. Before Jin could take a step, he was already cut across his front. Jake was back up and fighting. Cindy kept running and decided to hide. She got in a car on a side street and laid in the back of it.

She heard a big slap and could tell it was Jake flying through buildings again. Then she realized. It was quiet for far too long. And then she could hear it. The sniffing in the air. Snnn snnn snn snn. He could hear it getting closer. Her heart was racing. She thought it was going to beat out of her chest. Till I was right outside the car door. (This is it) she thought to herself. She bit down on the side of her hand to try to calm her nerves, then everything became silent. She didn't hear anything. Not the sniffing or anything. (Whoosh) the car door was torn off the hinges. "Aaauhhhhhhh" she yelled, terrified about her fate.

Jin was on all fours about to leap at the car when a huge purple glow came crashing down on his head and another glow came out of nowhere, completely severing the head. "Are you okay", it was Eddie who landed on the wolf's head first. Now helping her out of the car. Kye was the one who completely severed  Jin's head.

"Jake, I have to find him" Cindy panicked. " I just ran away and left him."

"You did good baby" a familiar voice came from behind her. It was Jake being held up by LayLay and Luke on either side.

" Where's the rest of your team?" LayLay  ask concerned.

" They're gone" Cindy broke down sobbing.

"We also lost Eve" Laylay teared up, remembering it happening too fast for anyone to do anything about it.

"Let's get to everyone else" Luke suggested. "The wolves deeper inside seem to be stronger than the wolves on the outskirts of town", he gave his observation.

"Wait" LayLay said "He needs to be healed now." She pulled a small clear tube out of her satchel. It was filled with green liquid. " Drink this, she said as she handed the elixir over to Jake. He looked at it quizzically before drinking it all. Instantly, his wounds began to close, and his energy was back.

"What is this!" Jake exclaimed, looking at the empty bottle.

"My family works in healing and medicine." LayLay stated "I'm sorry I'm not as good as my mom at making elixirs, but it should help for now."

"Are you kidding me!" Jake hugged her. "I'm back in this fight. I'm going to make these suckers pay." He was determined and filled with rage thinking about how he lost his team.

"Now that he's healed, can we go back to our original plan?" Eddie questioned. "Let's find the Alpha and finish this dumb hunt already. I have no time to waste on wolves.

It was Cindy that spoke first. "You can't mean you are searching for the Alpha. We were told not to engage him if we were to find him."

"I have more important things to do than kill a bunch of wolves. The less I have to kill, the better." He replied in ernest. "There's only one species I want to kill."

" Wait, if you're planning to go against the alpha, I'll come with you." Jake chimed in. "You're going to need all the help you can get."

"Jake noo" Cindy yelled. " Please don't. Let's go to the outskirts. I know you're strong. You protected me. You don't have to prove yourself anymore."

"Baby" he walked up to her and embraced her." It's because I am strong that I have to go. I can't leave them to take him on their own."

She sucked her teeth, knowing he was right. Now her head on straight she smiled. "Then we headed out together. I'll take care of what's not worth your time." She kissed gently just a peck on the lips. Proud to be by his side.

"Well, that's settled."Kye Interjected getting bored and antsy.

" We left a bunch of wolves that way when we tried to escape Jin," Jake said, pointing at the wolf's head.  "He was the strongest one there, but I'm sure past that way we will find more strong wolves."

They all headed there with determination on their faces. They were not too chatty. They had all watched someone die, and they were not in the best of moods.  Eddie decided it would be a good time to give advice before the battle, not knowing how the two newcomers fought.

"So the plan is that if your attacks are not doing much damage. Just strike at the joints and limbs," Eddie informed. "Be backup for us if you have to. Do what you can do, not what you can't do."

Listening to the little boy talk with so much knowledge was so cute to Cindy. (I just want to pinch those little cheeks) she thought to herself. But remembering his monster strength when he struck down on the giant wolf. He didn't even have a weapon out, did he? She tried to remember.

"Look". Luke pointed out a body on the ground in the distance. As they got closer they realized there were now bodies littered all around. Some were wolves, some were humans.

"Seems like we will have back-up." Eddie said as they hurried following the trail of bodies till they could now hear the sounds of battle.

As they got closer, they could all feel an immense pressure pushing against them as they walked forward.
