Kill and trill were in sync. Dancing threw the trees striking down wolf after wolf. One of them broke, threw their circle and was heading straight for Malcom. Malcom readied himself and was in an awkward stance. The wolf turned to human form before he reached Malcom and on both sides of him you saw Kill and Trill cut his head off at the same time. They landed by Malcom's side. Booker and Alley came back to the circle and they took up formation.
"Thank you guys for protecting me" Malcom blurted out. "But I have got some stuff to take care of myself. Do you guys think the Vets need help with that big one?" Pointing as the ones fighting it were struggling, but the rest of the vets and their team were taking out the rest of the wolves in the area. They were almost all gone.
Thump…. A body fell right behind them. "Ru rr run" he managed to get out. Alley recognized this man to be one of the stronger vets and decided to get away from him like he said, pulling Malcom with her. Then. Boom. Splat. The giant wolf landed on top of the man. With two other hunters' bodies hanging limp with his claws empaled threw them.
"You guys picked the wrong pack to attack" Abel proclaimed, but he began to shrink. He was completely human now if you could call him that. He was a monster of a human. He was almost seven feet tall. Muscles all over. A vet from the side flew in to take advantage of the opportunity. He was falling down with his sword all the way above his head, ready to cut Abel down. Abel, naked in human form, bent down and grabbed the sword from the man he landed on. " Would you mind if I borrow this" he asked the dead body.
Then he vanished and the man in the air was cut in half, but Abel was nowhere to be found.
"Where'd he go?" Malcom shivered. His heart was beating so fast he could hardly breathe. Sweat was dripping down his forehead. Thump. Malcom jumped. It was the body slit from the head down hitting the ground.
"Calm down!" Allley reassured him. "This is a wolfsbane and sunshade mixed rope, right?"
"Yea, a couple of other things but more or less," Malcom answered as a matter-of-factly.
"Then he won't be able to leave the circumference of this circle, and he won't be able to transform either." She stated.
" You see what he just did in human form." Booker began to panic.
It was only Kill and Trill calm in this situation. "Guys, me and Kill helped take out general's all the time with our family." Trill informed. "With everything I have seen everyone display I'm sure we could take him on. We have to work together. He can't transform, so we can do this."
"Is that so" a voice came from directly behind him. Malcom stumbled back and fell, being that it was Able now in front of him even tho it was his back. Trills reflexes were fast as he spun and slashed with his sword. Abel calmly blocked him holding the large sword he was carrying upside down. "Good reflexes boy," he complemented, as he kicked him and Trill went flying crashing into a tree.
Kill was already there to defend his brother and slashed down on Abel, but Abel's speed was still inhuman, and he was behind kill and pushed him right onto his brother. (He's playing with us.) Alley thought to herself. Noticing neither of the twins were badly hurt.
"I don't make it a point to go around harming kids." Abel spat out as he picked up Malcom. "This boy here seems to be the weakest of ur bunch. I will share my power with you boy"
Malcom was defenseless and weak against Abel's monster strength. He was shaking in fear. "Please don't turn me" he pleaded, knowing what Abel was about to do.
"I'll make you a deal, boy." Abel said calmly. The calm in his voice was terrifying Malcom. "Let me out of this enchantment and not only will I not kill you kids, but I will kill no more humans here and none of the wolves loyal to me will attack any of you guys either.
"How can we trust you", Alley stepped up, not believing the giant.
"For one, I know what you are, and I will not be responsible for making your people upset." He responded. " The tide of power is shifting. I won't be on the losing side. If I wanted, you would all be dead already, so why not risk trusting me, what do you have to lose?"
Alley walked over to the edge of the circumference Malcom made with the vines and looked Abel right in the eyes. If you betray us you will die a painful death, she said before she elongated her finger nails. They were strong and black with a red hue. She swiped straight, threw the vines and broke the barrier.
Abel smiled and sat Malcom down gently. "I hope we can work well together in the future, he said, looking at Alley before he vanished. A second later, there was a loud howl in the distance and all the wolves in the area took off, leaving the battlefield. Everyone was left confused about what had just happened. They were grateful at how lucky they had just got knowing, Abel even in his human form, was too strong for them to take on.
It was Booker who broke the silence in the group first. "We're alive!" He shouted as he gripped Malcom up in a tight bear hug. "I don't know what you did with those vines, but I know you had a big part in the fact we are alive right now. Thank you." He squeezed harder.
"Ahhh" Malcom finally grimaced and Booker let him go. They all ran over to Kill and Trill.
They were fine, all but their pride. They were a part of the Argent family. They were born and bred to hunt wolves. To lose to a wolf in base form was humiliating to say the least. To be spared by a wolf was even more humiliating. "Are you guys okay?" Alley asked as they got up. They didn't reply, they just looked at her with dead eyes.
"Yoooo, are you kids alright." an older woman asked, standing with a team of four other women. They all seemed strong and confident. "We don't know what happened, but we know that we all have y'all to thank that we're alive right now."
"We're fine." Alley replied with a smile on her face. One of the tall women with blond hair and beautiful brown eyes landed right in front of Alley.
"You may not have noticed, but I let my guard down and a wolf got the drop on me and almost killed me, and you saved my life." The woman said. " My name is Veronica Fishborn. I am the next heir to be head of my family. What is your name?"
" I am Alley Daragon." She blushed. "It was nothing. We are all here to work together and get the job done."
Veronica smiled and bowed to Alley. "The Fishborn family is in your debt." She said as she gave her a gold coin with what looked like a mermaid on it. " If you're ever in our territory and find urself in trouble show this to anyone and you will be taken care of."
"Thank you" Alley also bowed back to show respect.
" There's more battles being fought we're gonna go help." Veronica informed. "See you later." With that she was off with her group.
