After finishing his self creation, Orion and Declan went to the system shop to purchase a system for Declan.
Orion believed that the system would help the boy a lot since he wasn't sure if the reincarnation god will allow him to keep his memories.
Declan wasn't supposed to be reincarnated through the means Orion used and he has already broken one rule of the reincarnation god, so allowing the boy to keep his memories was a nearly an impossible thing.
'Well, a nearly impossible doesn't mean impossible right?' He thought.
When they arrived at the shop, the system god looked at Orion as if he has seen a thief.
"Boy, what are you doing with this old scammer" the system god asked Declan.
"Old? Scammer?" Declan asked confused.
"Come on Aetherius, don't be like this" Orion said innocently.
"Boy, don't let this old fart deceive you, he's a big scammer. (His best friend is one old man in Elyon's novel. Hehe)" Aetherius said.
"Come on, how can someone as handsome as me be a scammer? Isn't that right Declan?" asked Orion.
"Right" Declan answered.
"Boy, this ugly face is just a cover up. There's even an uglier face behind this ugly one"
"Don't forget he has lived for thousands of years" Aetherius said.
"Don't mind him boy, he's just blabbing" Orion said, before announcing the reason they were there.
"We came to get my boy Declan here a system" Orion added.
"Mmm…..wait a minute" Aetherius said as he took out a scanning crystal from his storage ring and scanned the boy to make sure he was capable of acquiring a system.
"Mmm….a defl….Necrobeast….job classes….mana….abili….,what! did you give the boy extra abilities or I am just seeing things?" Aetherius asked in surprise.
"Maybe you're just seeing things" Orion said innocently and and Aetherius decided to check again but this time his eyes widened shock when read the boy's abilities saw his job classes.
As a system god, he has the ability to see through a person's abilities and capabilities, and he was shocked because of what he saw.
"This boy is a potential walking monsters in a cocoon" Aetherius said still in a shock. Orion didn't know what he was talking about because he couldn't see through the locked job classes but he knew how powerful a Necrobeast could be so he wasn't surprised.
"What's your name boy?" Aetherius asked.
"Declan" he answered.
"Declan, do you have a patron god?" Aetherius asked the boy with hopeful eyes.
"Not yet but I plan to get one later" Declan said.
"Then how about I be your patron god?" Aetherius asked with a big smile that would loose a scammer's.
"Thanks but he'll pass. I already prepared one for him" Orion interrupted.
"How much is the blue and white system core over there" He added as he pointed at a blue core stored in an aquarium cooler glass.
"Too bad. Here, take. If you change your mind later, just rub its lighter side and call me, I'll be there" Aetherius said as he handed Declan a black and brown amulet.
Orion didn't say anything because he knew Aetherius couldn't cross over to the world of Edoria because he was a neutral god.
After spending half an hour browsing through the system shop, they finally settled for the z4 system. It was system that has accompanied so many people and warriors in their journeys so it was the best choice for Declan because it had experience.
After that, they went to their final destination, and that was the Ascendiant Order of the gods. Because only the ascendiant order of the gods could cross over to Salterass, Orion and the other gods who has been monitoring Declan from the beginning of his suffering all decided that it will be best for him to have a god who could descend down to Salterass in his time of need.
Although Gods couldn't help couldn't involve themselves in the affairs of mortals, they could do it indirectly and the best way was when they could asses the situation, putting themselves in it.
The two walked towards the teleportation gate that would take them to the Ascendiant order.
When they arrived, Declan felt he has just stepped on the holiest land ever. It felt like everything was good and holy. For Orion this was a normal thing that he was used to.
"What is this place?" Declan asked.
"It is the Ascendiant order of the gods. They are the holiest gods in existence" Orion replied.
"I see. Is this where you you want to get me the Patron god?" Declan asked as he scanned his surroundings.
"Yes. I have a friend whom I already discussed with. If you don't like him, feel free to reject him. I can suggest other gods for you or make you choose yourself" Orion said.
"Okay, let's go check him out first" Declan said and Orion nodded his head and led the way out.
The Ascendiant order of the gods was the holiest order of the gods because they commitedcno sin. They were the good order.
The patron gods of priests and priestesses came from this order. They were seen as the clean order.
No ill minded god could cross to their side unless they have pure intentions. The only reason why Orion was able to enter was because he was a neutral god and also labeled as VIP by one of the gods of the Ascendiant order.
When they stepped out of the teleporting area, a man dressed in a silky white robe came to meet them.
"I see you succeeded in your cross world robbery" the man said with a smile as he hugged his friend.
"I nearly got wasted" Orion said returning the hug with a smile.
"Uriel, this is Declan, and Declan, this is Uriel my friend" Orion said as he introduced them to each other.
"Nice to meet you Mr Uriel". Declan said as he extended his hand for a shake.
"Nice to meet you Declan" Uriel replied.
"Declan, I suggest you choose Uriel as your patron god. But as I said earlier, you can choose to decline but talk to him first before you decide" Orion said.
Declan appraised the man infront of him and found him quite interesting.
He had blue hair and green eyes which gave him a gentle yet, cunning loo.
"Okay but….."
"No buts. Not to brag though but I'm the best patron god you can get. I don't usually take in ugly boys because I'm handsome. But I'll consider you. This a lifetime chance. So what do you say boy." Uriel interrupted.
"Don't mind what he's saying. The benefit of it is that, he can descend and offer as much help as he can in Solterass and he's the only person I trust enough to allow him to come into this." Orion said.
"Should I tell you something interesting?" Uriel whispered.
"Yes" Declan whispered back as if playing along.
"I'm the only Ascendiant god that holds grudges. The only that can commit 'evil' without breaking the rules. I'm the only loophole exploiter in this order and among the gods. And I'm very popular among girls too, if you choose me, we can be partners in crime too". Uriel spilled his 'secrets' shamelessly.
"Okay, I think I like you. But I'll choose you on one condition?" Declan said.
"And what is that" Orion asked.
"I want an ability to be able shop in the gods shop" He stated.
Both gods looked at the boy as if he was the most greedy person in existence. 'Already cheating to get him 4 extra abilities and yet not satisfied, what a greedy brat' Orion thought.
"Deal or no deal?" Declan asked as he crossed his arms over his chest.
He knew the gods needed him more than he needed them the moment he got to know a patron god has already been prepared for him so he decided to use that to his advantage.
"What about I give you an item instead? You won't be able to come here but you'll be able to access the godshop from anywhere in Edoria" Uriel asked.
Declan rubbed his chin for a while as if thinking about the proposal before giving his answer.
"Deal" he stated.
Although not being able to go to the godshop was a disappointment, he was okay with this arrangement too. It was just like an online shopping back on earth.
And having chosen a patron god, he was just a step away from beginning his new journey.
