The Reincarnation

After agreeing to take Uriel as his patron god, Declan together with Uriel went to the god of contracts who was located on the 3rd floor of the neutral order to finalize the deal.

Uriel asked the god of contracts to use their blood to make a lifetime contract in order to make Declan understand that what they were doing was legit and important to them.

A god making a blood contract wasn't something that all gods fancied because it had a hefty price to pay if it is broken by the god.

A god might loose all his powers and go into a slammer for more than a thousand years or cease to exist depending on how powerful the other party is. This rule protected humans the most from being cheated by gods in a contract.

Although a god might cease to exist, they will be reborn after a few hundred years depending if people still had faith in them or not.

That was how powerful a blood contract was.

After signing with their blood, the contract glowed brightly before shooting towards both parties chest to signal its completion.

"It's done" the contract god said.

"Thank you Chronos" Uriel said.

"Don't mention. Errr— is he perhaps reincarting in Salterass?" Chronos asked as he pointed at Declan.

"Mmm…maybe….or no..or maybe no..or I don't know….. mean no." Orion stuttered as he struggled to answer Chronos.

"Come on Orion, I know you're trying to save your world. If he's going to Salterass can I ask him for a favor" Chronos pleaded.

"Yes!"

"Yes I'm going there".

Declan answered even before Orion could say anything.

"As long as it is within my capabilities, why not" he added.

Declan wanted to form connections with powerful people, and what would be better than starting with gods?

He would be stupid to let such an opportunity slide and he wasn't stupid.

'Greedy bastard!' Orion thought as he looked at the boy infront of him, starting to regret he chose him.

"I like him. He's always on the edg for an opportunity" Uriel said softly in a voice only Orion could hear.

Orion didn't say anything and only smirked. He knew what Declan was doing was a good thing but sometimes not all deals with gods turns out to be good, especially one with a neutral god who could be unpredictable.

"I have only one follower in Salterass. He's called Ares. Please look for him and give this to him. He's a destined follow of a great person. It will lead him to his master"

" An accident happened when he was crossing over so he couldn't take it along" Chronos said as he handed him a small tablet like the size of a palm with cardinals on it.

"Okay. But how do I know when I meet him? There are a lot of Ares in the world right" Declan asked.

"After the accident, I paid a god to check on him for me and he reported that he got reincarnated in the Duskwood Kingdom located in the Emberon continent.

He lost his memory so it might be a bit hard to convince him. This tablet will light up when you find him and it will turn dark purple when he meets his destined master. He's a Necromancer like you" he added.

Declan didn't why he said a Necromancer but not Necrobeast Master but he didn't attempt to correct him.

What he didn't know was that, a Necrobeast Master was a rare Profession, which could be found in one in a billion people so Uriel hid his profession temporarily after he became his patron god. He only manipulated it to show Necromancy incase other gods used appraising devices to check.

"Okay, I'll look him." Declan said as he stored the tablet inside a storage ring he bought from the godshop.

"Thank you boy, I owe you one" Chronos lightly patted his head and smiled.

"Can we go now?" Orion asked.

"Yes. And thank you Orion, Uriel" Chronos thanked them with a genuine smile.

"Mmm" Orion hummed as he dragged the boy away. Uriel on the other hand gave him slight nod and smiled.

"Boy, I like your tactics but don't just be trusting gods blindly like that"

"You know the reason you're here at the moment is because of a god, right" Uriel said as he held the boys shoulder and they walked towards the portal of reincarnation.

Declan began to burn with anger as he remembered Ursus. He hated the god to the extent that he was willing to die a million times in order to see him suffer.

"Calm down, calm down. You can keep that anger a little bit longer for him can't you?" Orion said with a smile because the boy hated his enemy even more than him and that was a good thing for him.

Declan breathed in and out to calm down.

"Why did Chronos say 'your world' back then?" Declan asked Orion.

"Errr—because my friend’s world is my world right? What belongs to her belongs to me" Orion answered and Declan hummed to reply.

the three made their way towards the gate of reincarnation which was just a few meters away. When they arrived, the guard stationed there asked Declan a few questions in order to set the coordinates right for him but when the boy scanned his thum on the small screen default settings appeared.

These were there coordinates set for him by default. They weren't surprised because this was a Normal thing that usually happen.

"Will you like to keep your name?" The guard asked.

"Yes" Declan replied. This was a name he has somehow mysteriously used in all his lifetimes so it was special to him.

"Can he keep his memories?" Orion asked the guard.

"Errr—You know that can't work" the guard answered.

"Come on Antares, we can come on an agreement right, can't we?" Uriel said with a big smile because the guard had asked him for a favor a few days ago and he told him he'll think about it, so he was using that to get them an entry.

"Fine fine, he can. But this will be the last time" Antares replied because add a few things to the default settings.

Just then they heard a voice call them from behind.

"Wait for me!" Chronos said as he run towards the three.

"What again Chronos?" Orion asked in an annoyed tone.

"I came to see Declan off and give him a gift" Chronos said before handing Declan a phantom ring.

"It's a contract ring. Whenever you want to make a contract just open it and take a contract and leave the binding to me" He added.

Declan took the ring and thanked him before putting it on.

"This is what I also have for you" Uriel said as he took out a feather. "It's a feather of a phoenix of the Tharros rank. You can summon it 3 times to aid you in battle." He added.

"Thank you" Declan said."

"I have something for you Declan" Orion said before taking out two set short black swords from his storage ring.

"These belong to Ursus. I believe you could make use of it than me" Orion said as he handed them to Declan.

"Thank you everyone. It was a pleasure meeting you all" Declan said as he bowed.

"Go, your journey awaits" Orion said.

"Until we meet again Declan" Uriel said.

Chronos on the other hand gave him a brief nod and smiled.

Declan turned and walked towards the blue gate infront of him. He didn't know what lay on the other side but he was more than ready for it. He glanced at the gods one final time and they all gave him a brief nod before he entered the blue portal-gate.

After Declan entered the portal-gate Chronos went back to his shop leaving Uriel and Orion behind.

"Why didn't you tell him the truth?" Uriel asked Orion whose gaze was still fixed on the blue portal.

"It's too early. When the time comes, he’ll know" Orion replied calmly before turning back and walked towards the elevator that led to his shop.

He has already set the stone in motion and now it was up to fate to decide.
