Do You Believe In Miracles?: 2

After exchanging pleasantries with Alfred and his grand daughter, Declan spoke to her and Leah for a while before he excused himself.

He was starting to feel dizzy so he left the party with an excuse of allowing them to have girls talk.

After walking for a few minutes, he arrived at the Cliff residence and made his way to the top floor where his room was located.

His conversation with Alfred's grand daughter and Leah enlightened his mood a little because he found the girl quite interesting and smart.

Through the conversation he found out that Scarlett was also adopted just like him but unlike him, she was a human.

After getting to his room, the boy didn't even bother to turn on the light because the effect of the alcohol had taken root inside his body and all he wanted was to sleep.

Sleep till a miracle happens and all his current problem turn into a nightmare the next time he opens his eyes again.

He dropped his tired body on the bed and allowed the darkness in the room to pull him into its embrace.

Just as darkness was about to swallow him, he heard of voice which sounded familiar and friendly, yet he didn't know who it belonged to.

"Do you believe in miracles?"

This was the question the unknown yet familiar voice asked.

"W-who is there? Grandpa?" Declan asked, trying to prop himself up but the strength of the alcohol made his body too weak to respond.

He heard a chuckle and the voice asked the question again.

"Do you believe in miracles?"

"Who are you? Where are you?" Declan asked in a desperate attempt to get up but all his struggles were futile.

"I will ask one last time, do you believe in miracles? The unknown voice asked again.

"Yes, I believe in miracles"

"But who are you? And why are you asking me this question" Declan answered and threw in a question of his own.

A chuckle reached his ears once again but this time, it felt like the person talking to him was someone that could crush him without raising a finger. He could feel the aura that emenated from the darkness and it wasn't something he has ever felt before. It felt mighty, powerful and divine.

He believed that even his grand father's aura which was that of a voran will feel like a breeze compared to what he was feeling right now.

"Since you believe in miracles, do you want to experience some?" The unknown voice asked in an amused tone.

"Yes" Declan replied.

He knew he was supposed to be shivering in fear at the moment but instead, what he felt was comfort and familiarity which he couldn't explain.

Just then a man who seemed to be in his early twenties appeared in front of him wearing a fine white linen robe.

His long blue hair was combed nicely, spread on his shoulders and shone in the darkness.

His light green eyes locked on him calmly as if It could see beyond his physical appearance.

Declan was only able to see him because of his race mix. Elves and Demons alike had a clear vision in darkness as if it was day.

"Good to meet you again Declan" The man said with genuine smile.

"How do you know my name? Who are you?" Declan asked.

"My name is Uriel, your Patron God" Uriel said.

"Uriel? I don't remember anyone with that name and what is a Patron God? How do I have one but can't remember?" Declan said, throwing loads of questions at Uriel.

Uriel smiled bitterly after realizing the kind of situation the boy was in.

"Do you remember anyone called Orion?" Uriel asked and the boy shook his head.

"Okay let's start from the beginning. Orion is the god who brought you to this world Edoria. He made me your Patron God and deal was made between you and me...." Uriel told the boy everything starting from how he got to the Sanctuary of the Gods down to his reincarnation.

If Declan was confused about his life at first, then now he was lost. He looked at the mysterious man in front of him who called himself a God in shock and disbelief.

The dizziness he was feeling at first had all disappeared into thin air

"I see you really don't remember anything but don't worry that is the reason why I'm here"

Just as the man finished saying those words, he felt himself being pulled by a strong force and his world turned into darkness.

When he opened his eyes, he found himself in a familiar place. It was the world in his dream where he always felt bitter, the world where he was never able to save the suffering boy.

'Is all of this another dream?' Declan thought.

"No. This is real" Declan heard a familiar voice behind him and turned around immediately.

"This mini-world is your sea of consciousness. It belongs to you", Uriel said.

"And that boy over there, is your system. Your connection with him is unstable, that is why every time you try to save him, you can't get to him" Uriel said, even confusing the boy even more.

He was also aware of this so he just did the next best thing and that was to help him recover his memories.

With a wave of his hand, Declan felt a refreshing breeze was over him and the next thing that followed was pain.

The boy fell on his knees screaming in pain as he held his head in a firm grip.

A few seconds later, he fell down and lost consciousness.

Uriel waved his hands again the boy on the sea shore turned into a crystal orb covered in a mist of blood. The core flew towards Declan and floated above his unconscious body.

Uriel muttered something and the blood around the core fused with it.

With another wave of his hand, the core merged with the unconscious boy who was lying on the ground.

A few minutes later, Declan opened his eyes and found himself on a familiar sea shore.

"Oh, that was fast"

Declan heard a familiar voice and turned to look at the man sitting beside him.

Just then, all his memories came flooding back like a raging river.

"I-I now remember" Declan muttered softly in realization.

"Orion, Chronos, I remember them" Declan said in an excited tone.

Just at that moment, he heard a notification in his head. A notification that will change his life forever.
