Do you believe In Miracles?: 1

Three days has passed since the children's arrival from the high temple.

The hottest topic in town at the moment was Declan's job class. A job class like his own has never been heard in the world of Edoria before so it was surprising.

While some pitied him and felt sorry, a few of the old people of Ashwood also thought that perhaps this was a blessing in disguise.

Those who had lived long enough knew that there could a possibility, the boy was on the path of being a progenitor of a new profession.

Although being a progenitor was feat that could be achieved using decades and perhaps centuries and even the blessings of the gods, the possibility still existed.

Of course those people who thought about this were just a handful. Those who had lived long enough to tell a tale of their world.

Due to the unexpected turn of events, the celebration of honor was rescheduled for this day.

Aaron also decided to invite the neighboring city which was lorded over by his old disciple to join them in celebration.

The atmosphere as it should be was lively as everyone made their way to the town's center where the event would be held.

A few hours before sunset, the guest from Whitlock city arrived.

Food and drinks were in abundance as families enjoyed their last moments with their children, who would be departing from them in two years from now to find their own path in the world.

Ava adjusted the collar of the Declan's open white shirt which were paired with brown tight-fitting pants, tied to the knee with gold cord and a black close fit jacket, adorned with indicates and embroidery.

Ava gave Declan a kiss on his cheeks and forehead after making sure he was set for the event.

"You're looking good, Declan" Ava complimented Declan.

"Than you mother" Declan replied before returning the kiss.

"Please don't think about anything tonight, just enjoy the party" Ava said.

Declan nodded in assurance before walking out of the room with Ava.

When they arrived at the living room Declan saw Eren, Aaron, Zareel and another man whom he had met a long time ago discussing something with serious expressions.

They immediately enlightened up as soon as they saw them descending the stairs but unfortunately, the boy overheard what they didn't want him to hear due to his throng hearing sense as an elf and a demon.

"So you mean he can't rank up or what?"

Those were the words he overheard from Eren before they changed the topic.

The head of the Cliff family and Declan's protectors didn't want the boy to think about what was happening to him and deal with it on their own.

They didn't want the boy boy to fall into a depression because he was too young.

Declan on the other hand pretended he didn't hear anything and smiled at the man walking towards him with green hair and dark purple eyes.

"Little Declan, it's been a while"

The man said as he gave a brief bow of before patting the boy's head.

Although the other people in the room took the bow as a joke, there were two people who knew the man was serious with his bow because it was the right thing to do to….(a young lord. hehe)

"Indeed uncle Oliver" Declan said with a smile.

"How have you been? I hope you're being a good boy?" Oliver asked with a smile.

"Yes uncle" Declan said with a gritted teeth while glancing at Ava with a pleading gaze as if asking her not to say anything.

"Actually Declan hasn't been...…a troublesome child" Ava said.

Declan who closed his eyes a few seconds ago, waiting for the bullet sighed in relief.

Ava chuckled when she saw the relief on his face and wished to see her son like this again.

For the past two days, the boy has only been in his room and only came out when he was called and it made her really worried because she raised Declan as her own flesh and blood with love and care.

"Let's go everyone, the party awaits" Aaron said before taking the lead.

They dropped all their worries temporarily to enjoy the party which was held once in a year to their satisfaction.

The night was still young and there were a lot of things to do.

Declan looked at the hundreds of people gathered at the town center and sighed. He wished his family could also rejoice like this because of him.

After getting food from the buffet and a drink, he sat at the end of the Cliff table which was not occupied by anyone and ate quietly.

He scanned through the crowd and saw Aaron catching up with some old friends whiles Ana and Eren were busy rocking the dance floor.

Albert who was also catching up with friends waved at him and he waved back.

A few minutes later he saw Albert and Leah walking towards him holding wine glasses in their hands.

(Incase some you have forgotten Leah, she's the girl Declan instructed to take care of the children when he went to help the guardians in the battle against the volcanic wolf)

"Hey Declan, do you want to have wine?" Leah mumbled.

"Yeah, this beer is great" Albert added.

"Oh yeah, beer wine or beer" Leah said slurring.

"Are you guys drank?" Declan asked when he realized his friends were behaving abnormal.

"J-j-just a little" Leah said as she dropped herself on a chair beside Declan.

"But you're not allowed to drink alcohol" Declan said with a surprised look.

"We have come of age, have you forgotten?"

Leah said before gulping the rest of the wine left in her glass.

"Umm..you're kinda right. And you look happy too. Can I have some?" Declan asked.

"Of course. Here you go" Albert who had already refilled his glass handed it to Declan.

"Hey Albert, looks like your old lady misses you" Leah said and pointed at a middle-aged woman who was approaching them.

Albert immediately dropped the wine on the table before vanishing into the crowd.

Declan gulped the wine in the glass within a minute and refilled it.

After 5 minutes of non stop drinking, Declan looked infront of him and saw two beautiful ladies sitting side by side.

They both had light brown hair and hazel eyes which glowed under the moon light. A few seconds later, the two people he saw merged into a single person. She had a round face cute lips and smalls nose which added a touch her growing beauty. Declan knew that in a few years, the girl in front of him would grow into a beautiful lady.

"You're beautiful Leah" Declan muttered softly in a voice that only Leah could hear still looking at the girl in front of him.

"Declan meet my old friend and disciple, Alfred" Aaron said, breaking him out of the daze.

"Alfred this is my grandson, Declan" he added.

"Ohh, nice to finally meet you Declan. This old hag keeps bragging about having the best grandsons alll the time"

"Nice to meet you too sir Alfred"

Alfred said and Declan replied with a brief bow.

"Ermm..Declan, this is his grand daughter, Scarlett." Aaron said with a wide smile like someone who was about to deceive others.

"Perhaps you too could get to know each other and…."

(And what old man? And what? We aren't ready for marriage yet bruh)
