 The crowd went silent as soon as Lucas asked me to join him on the podium as I wondered why he wanted me up there with him. 


 It was though all eyes were on me as I walked towards the podium to meet Lucas. I took in deep breaths as I tried to steady my heart which was pounding loudly as though it wanted to break out from my chest. 


 Lucas walked toward the end of the podium as he stretched his hand for me to take as he guided me onto the podium. 


 We stood together side by side facing the new pack warriors as Lucas began his speech. 


 “Warriors, today makes a new milestone in your lives. Today, you are being given the greatest honor in the pack; protecting the members of the pack. You are to swear you are allegiance to your Alpha and Luna while promising to do everything in your power to ensure the safety of your fellow pack members.” 


 “Do you promise to protect the lives and properties of the members of the Bloodmoon pack?” Lucas asked them.
