Dinner Ruined

It was evening. Xu Kaicheng sat on his bed wearing nothing but a towel around his waist. The door to his room opened, and two men brought in a clothes hanger filled with suits. Xu Kaicheng stood up and looked through the suits, finally picking a navy blue suit with a white shirt and red tie.

Xu Yi Han walked down the stairs elegantly, wearing a black long gown that showed off her beautiful collarbone. Her red lipstick made her stand out, and she looked stunning, all in an attempt to catch Li Qiang's attention.

Li Qiang sat in the back seat of their car, with the driver and Muyang in the front.

"I hope you didn't bring that person along?" his father asked.

"I don't think whatever I do is your concern," Li Qiang replied, looking at his father before turning away.

His father sighed but said nothing.

Outside the car, two cars followed them from behind, and one car was in front of them.

Arriving at the Xu mansion, the bodyguards were already out, waiting for them to arrive.

"Who are those?" one of the Xu bodyguards asked.

"They are the most powerful and dangerous mafia," another bodyguard explained.

The Xu mansion was beautiful and elegant, but not as grand as the Gou mansion, which was large and had a big quarters for the guards. Their bodyguards were dressed in black trousers and black T-shirts.

The servants guided the Gous to the dining room. When they reached the dining room, Xu Yi Han's eyes gleamed when she saw Li Qiang.

Mr. Xu was already seated at the head of the table and offered Mr. Gou a seat beside him, placing Mr. Gou opposite Xu Kaicheng and Li Qiang opposite Xu Yi Han.

They were invited for dinner, but it didn't seem like one, as Xin Yi, Muyang, Muchen, and five bodyguards came in and stood beside them, along with the Xu bodyguards.

Mr. Xu looked at Xin Yi and smiled, then looked at Mr. Gou, who glared at him.

"My old friend, we haven't met for an hour and you're already glaring at me," he said, leaning back in his chair and rubbing his lips with his fingers as he looked at Mr. Gou.

Mr. Gou stood up, and immediately Li Qiang did too. Xu Yi Han looked both confused and sad.

"I know this is your plan, you old hag," Mr. Gou said, walking away with Li Qiang and the bodyguards following him.

"You're going to let them go?" Xu Yi Han asked, looking upset. Both Xu Kaicheng and Mr. Xu smiled at her.

Li Qiang followed his father to his office. When they entered, Li Qiang was about to ask what happened when his father suddenly attempted to slap him, but Li Qiang dodged it.

"I told you not to bring that so-called personal bodyguard," his father said, walking out of the office.

Li Qiang sat on his bed with Muyang in front of him.

"Find out about Jang Xin Yi," he said, and Muyang nodded. Li Qiang had a deadly look on his face.

Xu Yi Han's driver parked in front of the Gou mansion. Xu Yi Han stepped out of the car, holding a bouquet of flowers. She wore a casual outfit: a short black skirt, a white top, and high heels. Her face looked friendlier with pink lips instead of red.

The driver, who was also her bodyguard, got out of the car to follow her.

"No, no, don't follow me," she shooed him away, and he returned to the car.

Xu Yi Han stood in front of the bodyguards outside and slightly bowed to them, which they reciprocated. She looked upset at their greeting.

Muchen walked ahead of Xu Yi Han inside the mansion, leading her to the boss's office.

"Your guards are rude," she twisted her lips.

"They give what you give," Muchen replied, glancing at her before walking faster, making it hard for Xu Yi Han to keep up.

"Hey, slow down, I'm in heels," she complained.

"No one sent you to wear heels," he retorted.

"All the guards at the Gou mansion are rude," she grumbled.

Muchen remained silent and kept walking until they reached the boss's office. He knocked on the door and entered with Xu Yi Han.

Mr. Gou sat on the sofa in his office, leaning back. Muchen bowed and left the room.

"Good morning, sir. I am delighted to meet you," she said, waiting for him to offer her a seat, but he remained silent, sipping his tea.

"I am sorry about what my father did to you the other time," she apologized, hoping to benefit from the gesture.

She placed the bouquet on the table and was about to leave.

"You should take that with you," he said, placing his cup on the table and moving to his desk to review some files.

Xu Yi Han cursed him in her mind, 'old hag,' picked up the flowers, and walked out of the room.

Outside the mansion, she was greeted by Li Qiang, with Muyang standing behind him.

Everything around her seemed to disappear except for Li Qiang. He was about to walk away when she grabbed his arm.

Li Qiang looked taken aback and pulled his arm away, then started walking again.

Xu Yi Han ran to stand in front of him. "Li Qiang," she called.

Li Qiang stopped but didn't respond. Xin Yi, who was leaving, saw them and hid behind a pole.

"I am—" she intentionally fell on him, but he didn't catch her.

"So cold," Xin Yi whispered.

"Are you done?" Li Qiang asked as Muchen came to pull her off him, and Li Qiang walked away.

Xu Yi Han pushed Muchen away and stormed off, with Muchen following her.

"What an actress," Xin Yi whispered, walking out of the mansion and flipping her bike key.
