Yuto Saito descended the stairs after his shower, the clock read 22:10.

The women, all dressed in casual pajamas, were gathered on the sofa, engrossed in conversation. When Yuto appeared, they turned their gazes toward him in unison, their forms strikingly beautiful and alluring.

Yuto took in the scene, a warm smile spreading across his face, feeling as if he were an emperor with the world at his feet.

Natto broke the silence. "Captain, Sister Yun just told us what happened. Do you think Zhang Bafeng's friend, Chen Fan, will come after him?"

Yuto's confidence was unwavering. "Don't worry. Officer Song looked into Chen Fan. He's a family man, married with two daughters. Do you really think he'd risk their safety for someone who isn't even blood-related? If he's thinking about revenge, he's gambling with his family's lives—and I doubt he'll take that risk."

Orange grinned. "Brother Su's already got this all figured out."

Natto added, "That's a relief. I was just thinking, maybe we should deal with Chen Fan too."

Yuto shook his head slightly. "I'm giving him one chance. I don't want to kill without reason. There's no bad blood between us. If Chen Fan's smart, he'll back off. But if he comes for us… his family will pay the price too."

Hu Tuan'er chimed in, "You should've heard the captain when he was talking to Officer Song. It was intense."

Ni Shuang, her curiosity piqued, asked, "What happened? When was this?"

Hu Tuan'er explained, "While you and Sister Yun were collecting supplies in the warehouse, the captain had a run-in with Officer Song right at the door. They were arguing."

Yun Yun looked at Yuto with a mischievous smile. "Oh? What did you say?"

Yuto didn't hesitate. "I told her I was going to kill Zhang Bafeng."

Ni Shuang raised an approving thumb. "Xiao Tutu, you've got guts!"

Mina, always the one to probe deeper, asked, "And how did Officer Song react?"

Hu Tuan'er answered for Yuto. "She tried to stop him, of course. I overheard the captain ask her something that left her speechless."

Yuto grinned and recounted the moment. "I asked her, 'What would you do if someone sent people to kill your parents, even with a sniper rifle?'"

Yu Qi's eyes widened. "What did she say?"

"She just said, 'Only this once. Not again.'"

"She accepted it?" Ni Shuang was astonished.

Yun Yun nodded wisely. "Officer Song's smart. She knows she can't change Yuto's mind but doesn't want to jeopardize their cooperation. So, she let it slide."

Yuto shrugged. "Even if we don't have the military's help, we'll still find the monsters ourselves."

Orange agreed, "True. The only reason we cooperated with the military was to get more spar and upgrade the floating island faster."

Ni Shuang sighed, "After that argument, it'll be hard for Officer Song to ask for help again unless she's dealing with something truly terrifying."

Yuto's expression softened. "She helped us find Zhang Bafeng's location and eliminate a threat. I owe her for that. If she needs help, I'll return the favor."

"That's the right thing to do," Yun Yun said approvingly.

Yuto turned to the group, his tone serious. "In the apocalypse, zombies and monsters aren't the most dangerous things we'll face. Because when we see them, we know they're our enemies."

Ni Shuang understood instantly. "The real danger is people, isn't it?"

Yuto nodded. "Exactly. Most people still have good in them, but even good people struggle in times like these. The problem is, some ruthless individuals hide among the good ones, waiting to strike when your guard is down."

He paused, remembering. "In a previous life, I encountered someone like that. A 16-year-old boy, harmless on the outside, level 2 character. Everyone thought he was just an average kid. But while everyone was asleep, he killed all the awakened ones for their experience. He was no ordinary kid; he had dual talents and was much stronger than he appeared."

Yuto glanced at the girls. "I'm telling you this story to remind you not to underestimate anyone. Some people will do anything to survive, even stab you in the back while you sleep."

The girls were visibly shaken.

Mina muttered, "That's horrifying. To kill innocent people just to grow stronger?"

Nazi added grimly, "A person like that has no humanity."

Ni Shuang shook her head in disbelief. "A level 2 character could be so dangerous. You really can't judge by appearances."

Yun Yun smiled knowingly. "Xiao Tu's telling us this to remind us not to trust anyone too easily. Where there are people, there's conflict."

Yuto nodded in agreement. "Exactly."

Ni Shuang pointed out, "Your level is only 4 right now, but your strength is way beyond ours. You're proof that levels don't tell the whole story."

Yuto explained, "That's because I have many talents. I need a lot of experience to upgrade them, so my level rises slowly."

Yun Yun chimed in. "Yes, the more talents you have, the slower your level increases. You can't judge a person's power by their level alone."

Ruoruo thoughtfully added, "When we recruit people to the island in the future, we'll need to screen them carefully."

Yuto grinned. "No need to worry about that. Mina's charm talent will make it easy to interrogate anyone. If they've done anything shady, they won't set foot on our island."

Ruoruo agreed. "Right, sister Mina's charm can bring out the truth in anyone."

Mina then asked, "What if someone needs to be dealt with?"

Yuto's voice was firm. "We'll judge based on the situation. If it's self-defense, like a man protecting his girlfriend from harm, then we won't interfere."

Mina nodded thoughtfully. "I see. It depends on the context."

Yuto brought the conversation back to the floating island. "For now, recruiting people can wait. There's no place to house them yet."

Ni Shuang suggested, "They could live in tents on the grass."

Natto nodded. "That could work."

Yuto smiled. "Let's wait until we upgrade the floating island to level 4 first."

Natto asked eagerly, "Brother Su, what will happen when it reaches level 4? Will the villa have four floors?"

Yuto chuckled. "When we have enough spar, you'll find out."

After a moment of thought, he asked the system, "What will happen when the floating island is upgraded to level 4?"

The system responded, "Host, upgrading the floating island will unlock 10 new options."

Yuto's eyes lit up. "Ten options? That's a lot!"

The system added, "There will be choices for both the main city and the outer city. When the host has enough spar, the options will be revealed."

Yuto couldn't help but feel impressed. The system was more powerful than he had imagined.

As he looked at the girls around him, he couldn't help but think, The future holds more possibilities than I ever expected.
