Affection

"So, you're saying that there's something off about that barbecue restaurant, and there might be some supernatural entity behind it?"

Evelyn asked after hearing Logan's description.

The two had spent the entire afternoon being close and affectionate, and it wasn't until dinner time that Logan remembered the situation with the restaurant.

"Exactly. Ever since I've become more attuned to these things, my senses have sharpened, and something about the meat didn't feel right,"

Logan explained, still in the middle of preparing dinner.

"That's terrifying. The place is so popular—who knows how many people have eaten there?"

Evelyn shuddered at the thought, realizing just how dangerous the supernatural could be.

"From now on, we'll cook for ourselves. It's safer, and I'll make sure to cook you something delicious every day!"

Logan said, feeling the weight of the situation as he proposed the idea.

"That sounds perfect! Thank you, babe!"

Evelyn smiled and playfully kissed Logan on the cheek.

It was funny—she had teased Logan about calling her "babe" earlier, but now she seemed to enjoy using it herself.

"Oh, babe, can you go grab the microphone from my computer?"

Logan asked as he continued chopping vegetables.

"Sure!"

Evelyn cheerfully hopped out of the kitchen, almost skipping as she made her way to the computer.

A moment later, she proudly handed Logan the supernatural microphone. Logan put down the knife, holding the microphone up to his face.

"Alright, Mic, quit pretending to be dead. I've been busy, but it's time for you to get back to work!"

Evelyn looked puzzled. Who was Logan talking to?

"Okay..."

Suddenly, a chilling voice echoed in Evelyn's mind, and she jumped in fright. She screamed, throwing the microphone to the ground before diving into Logan's arms for comfort.

It was the same eerie voice from the supernatural broadcast she had encountered before—her first encounter with the supernatural that had left a deep scar. Though she wasn't afraid of Logan's werewolf form, other supernatural entities still terrified her.

"Don't worry, it's okay. This isn't that supernatural broadcast,"

Logan reassured her, catching the microphone and gently explaining what was happening.

"So, it's just a supernatural object? Something that has developed a consciousness?"

Evelyn asked, her fear subsiding as she nestled in Logan's arms, her safe place.

"Exactly. It has some unusual powers, and I want to give it to you so you'll have something to protect yourself with,"

Logan said, handing her the microphone.

"Alright, I trust you! I'll use it to protect myself,"

Evelyn replied, taking the microphone confidently.

"Hey, can you change your voice? It's really creepy,"

Evelyn asked, talking directly to the microphone.

"..."

The microphone seemed stunned. It had definitely ended up with a strange couple.

"Fine... I'll change it..."

The microphone complied, switching to a much softer, more pleasant voice, like that of a little girl.

Evelyn immediately relaxed, excitedly examining the microphone from all angles and engaging in a soft conversation with it. Seeing that she no longer needed his help, Logan smiled and returned to cooking.

Not long after, Evelyn and her new companion, the microphone, ran out of the kitchen, chatting eagerly. Logan didn't mind—he knew there was no danger.

By the time dinner was ready, Logan carried the plates out to the living room, only to be greeted by an unusual sight.

A thick black mist swirled around Evelyn, reminiscent of the time she had been possessed by a supernatural force. But this time, she looked excited. Seeing Logan, she waved him over.

"How do you feel?"

Logan asked as he set the plates down and approached her.

"Babe, this is amazing!"

Evelyn beamed, effortlessly controlling the black mist to lift the heavy coffee table and suspend it in mid-air.

"Does this make me supernatural?"

"Not exactly. You're just using the microphone's power,"

Logan chuckled, patting her head affectionately.

"Well, it's still pretty awesome!"

Evelyn grinned, lowering the coffee table before wrapping her arms around Logan.

"I just hope I won't slow you down."

"Don't say that! Now, let's eat,"

Logan teased, gently squeezing her hand as they sat down for dinner.

Later that night, after both had taken their showers, there was a nervous energy between them. Despite having lived together for almost a month, this was the first time they were about to take things to the next level.

"I... I've never done this before,"

Evelyn admitted softly, revealing something personal.

She had left home years ago to escape an arranged marriage, and she had never met a man who truly captured her heart—until now, with Logan.

"I'll take care of you,"

Logan said seriously as he moved closer, knowing it was his turn to take the lead.

"Alright, I trust you,"

Evelyn whispered, wrapping her arms around Logan's neck as she responded to his passionate kiss.

That night, the warmth between them deepened, and their hearts and bodies became one. From that moment on, they knew they could never be apart.
