The Visiting Sovereign

Year 1963, January, Rudradev Khurd Company factory

Prince Viraja was standing in-front of the kiln made of clay bricks it is a thermally insulated chamber or oven which has been created in the premises of the company grounds or now more appropriately called factory which is a term he has recently introduced to signify the manufacturing work done here. The limestone which has been brought from other parts of the kingdom are mixed with clay and water and is put in the kiln to be heated at very high temperature until it hardens and then brought out and crushed into a fine powder thereafter to make the end product which is called cement. The production has already started and the wall around the company factory, headquarters buildings, barracks is being constructed using the clay bricks and cement including the streets and houses within the new town constructed for the factory workers. There are also newly established agriculture land could be seen in the distance to feed the population of the burgeoning town.

While he was busy with the cement processing a attendant came running to him to inform him that the king and the queen has arrived to meet him and they are waiting for him in his mansion which has been recently constructed for his personal use. Hearing this he nodded and instructed Bhimroa to start supplying the cement to be stored in capital city warehouse from where it can be marketed to the merchant in order to be sold for profit for the company across the kingdom just like the soap business and hopefully it will be as successful as the bathing soap. With this he left for his mansion.

As he entered the living room of the mansion he saw his father and mother sitting and talking to each other. It has been almost a year since he has last talked to his parents. A small girl of may be 3 to 4 years old was sitting in his mothers lap this was none other than his little sister who has been born a few years ago. The moment both his mother and sister laid their eyes on him they had soft and loving smile on their face. His family was one of the most important thing in his life as in his previous life he was pretty much raised as an orphan as his parents died when he was only a little kid. As his father looked at him and the first thing he asked is "Have you made the necessary preparation to move to your barony Badrak". Prince Viraja answered with his head shake in affirmation and was about to say something when his mother intervened and said "You two can discuss about official stuff later let us have lunch together as a family".

After few hours

Prince Viraja and the king is currently doing a round of the factory while the prince was explaining to his father the different products that are being manufactured in the factory some of which his father already knows and others are new to him, he also showed the new weapons including his army readiness to his father. Once done doing the round both father and son duo moved towards the headquarter office to have a private discussion.

Within the office the king was first to initiated conversation, he said "Viraja I am quite impressed with what you have accomplished over here in a year time, its hard to imagine that you are only nine years old. I will agree to your previous proposal to send 4000 soldiers of Royal army to be trained with the new weapon and tactics.Though I am still skeptical about this new tactics and weapons I will still use them as support to rest of the royal army when its time to get rid of those traitorous nobles.". Prince Viraja nodded his head with appreciation and thanked his father for taking his proposal into consideration.

Next day

After bidding farewell to his departing family prince Viraja started making preparation for his journey to Badrak next week. First he personally meet with the new liason officer, manager, workshop supervisor to gauge their loyalty and competency. Next he had a meeting with colonel Virendra and instructed him to prepare the army for departure and also put a officer competent enough here to manage and train the royal army that his father will be sending and finally he had a talk with Bhimrao and Hariharan to give them a heads up to get prepared for the departure.
