Gray sat silently on the couch, his eyes fixed on the TV, though he wasn't really paying attention to the movie. The living room was dim, the only light coming from the screen. Rose sat beside him, swinging her legs lazily, wrapped in a blanket as she nibbled on popcorn.
"Brother," Rose muttered, her eyes still on the screen, "you're always quiet, but today you're really quiet. And stop staring at Sister Lilith like you've never seen a woman before… it's embarrassing."
Gray froze mid-sip of his coca cola, slowly lowering the can. His gaze shifted to Rose, who was now looking at him with a knowing frown.
"I wasn't staring," he replied flatly, though the faintest tension flickered in his jaw.
"You were." Rose squinted at him like she was trying to figure something out. "You've been looking at her all time."
Gray pressed his lips together, casting a quick glance at Lilith, who was sitting across the single couch.
