Gray's glare could have frozen a volcano, but Ethan remained unbothered, grinning brightly as his gaze shifted to Lilith. "And who might you be, my lady? Are you the one who finally cracked his icy walls of heart? Should I thank you for this miracle?"
Lilith tilted her head, smirking. "Lilith. And you're… interesting, to say the least."
Ethan clutched his heart again, staggering back a step. "Interesting? I'll take it as a compliment. But seriously, Lilith, you deserve a medal for dealing with this one. I've known him my whole life, and let me tell you, he's not exactly… easy."
Gray's jaw clenched as he cut him off. "If you're done embarrassing yourself, Ethan, why don't you go find someone else to bother?"
"Embarrassing myself? Please, cousin, I'm a delight. Anyway, I'm just here to watch the drama. Carry on, you two. Pretend I'm not here," Ethan said, plopping down on one of the benches in the hallway with a grin.
