The day continued like that—stopping creeps in their tracks, putting rude heiresses in their place, and being the flawless secretary she intended to be. But, of course, her boss—the CEO—had his eyes on her, more curious than ever. And while the entire office might fear her or wonder about her, she remained blissfully indifferent. This was fun. Lilith turned to the robot, her patience long dead. "I swear to god, I will dismantle you bolt by bolt."

Darkness laughed, tossing the pillow onto the couch. "Ah, sweetheart… you're making this kidnapping experience way too entertaining."

Lilith glared at him. "I hate you."

Darkness leaned in slightly, lowering his voice to a teasing whisper. "Oh, sweetheart… I don't believe you at all."

Lilith was going to lose her mind.

Her expression turned cold, her arms crossed tightly as she ignored the robot's laser-red eyes scanning them. Her gaze was locked onto Darkness.

"Where are my boyfriends?" she asked, her voice sharp and dangerous.

Darkness smirked, spreading his arms in amusement. "I'm here."

Lilith didn't even blink. "Not you. I meant Gray, Ray, and Alex."

For a split second, something dark and dangerous flickered in his eyes.

But it was gone just as quickly, replaced by an easy, almost taunting smile.
