Chapter 31: A Fierce Battle with Poacher Rico

The green-haired middle-aged man who emerged from the bushes, the poacher Rico, was the first to spot Gary and Rosa resting under the shade of a tree.

From the faces of Gary and Rosa, he concluded that they were young and likely not very strong. Judging by the materials of their clothes, it was obvious they were wealthy.

Therefore, he deduced that they were rich kids out for a play, and their Pokémon might be very rare, making them valuable targets.

Thinking of this, Rico's eyes suddenly showed greed, as if Gary and Rosa were already fish on his chopping board.

Rico decided to act immediately and walked towards Gary and Rosa.

"You two are unlucky to have met me. Now give me all your money, Pokémon, and valuables, or don't blame me for not warning you in advance," Rico threatened, showing a greedy and arrogant expression.

"You are the poacher Rico!" Gary directly revealed Rico's identity.

"It's good to know. You should honestly hand over all your valuables to avoid physical pain," Rico continued to threaten, unfazed by his identity being exposed.

"Gary, isn't Rico a Pokémon poacher? Why has he become a robber?" Rosa asked, pretending to be very surprised and puzzled, knowing she had Gary as her support.

"Poachers are thieves, and robbers are also thieves. There's no difference between the two, so it's not surprising that Rico resorts to robbery," Gary explained, understanding Rosa's intent.

"So that's it!" Rosa said, showing an expression of realization.

Rico, seeing Gary and Rosa pretending, realized he was being mocked and became furious.

"Since you don't want to drink the toast, don't blame me for being rude," Rico said, waving his fist and aiming to hit Gary and Rosa.

Rosa immediately hid behind Gary, finding the situation too difficult to handle.

Gary, however, was not afraid and was eager to try.

He easily dodged Rico's punch and then kicked Rico in the abdomen, sending him flying.

Seeing Rico being kicked out, Gary felt a bit excited. This was his first time testing his super rookie physique, and it felt great!

"I originally thought you, a big strong man, had some ability, but I didn't expect you to be so weak," Gary said, feeling a bit unsatisfied and looking at Rico with regret.

"Are you just a show-off, or are you already weak?" Gary teased, looking at Rico.

"You damned fellow! If that's the case, don't blame me for being rude!" Rico, feeling humiliated, took out a Poké Ball and threw it.

"Teach them a lesson, Tyranitar!"

Soon, a dark green Tyranitar appeared in front of Gary and Rosa from a white light. Under Rico's instructions, Tyranitar looked at Gary and Rosa with a ferocious look, ready to attack.

In the white light of the Poké Ball, a well-developed Blastoise appeared in front of Tyranitar.

"Is this your confidence?" Rico looked at Gary's Blastoise, which was not weak, and said, "But it alone is not a match for my Tyranitar."

Rico was confident in his Tyranitar.

"But it will be mine soon, and I will sell it for a good price!" Rico said, ignoring Gary's gloomy expression, and commanded Tyranitar.

"Go, Tyranitar, use Stone Edge!"

As soon as Rico's voice fell, dozens of rocks appeared around Tyranitar. Under Tyranitar's control, these rocks attacked Blastoise like sharp arrows.

"Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!"

Facing the overwhelming rocks, Blastoise used Hydro Pump to disperse all the incoming stones, remaining unscathed.

Seeing Blastoise easily counter his attack, Rico was slightly surprised but continued to command Tyranitar.

"Sandstorm!"

In this dangerous situation, Rico laughed wildly.
