The only good thing I can say about this fanfic is that the translation is pretty good. The actual story itself however is mediocre at best. The MC is rather unlikable, since he has this fake humble attitude, that a lot of MCs in Chinese novels have, that makes it clear that the MC is actually arrogant and only pretends to be humble. The battle scenes feel very repetitive and boring. Other Pokémon fanfics are a lot better at depicting engaging Pokémon battles. The worst thing is that the battles are way too predictable. It's expected for a self-insert MC (which this one pretty much is) to win most battles, but this one basically just curbstomps almost all of his opponents without losing a single Pokémon, which kills any possible suspense.
