Aftermath

The Next Morning:

The police were buzzing with activity, trying to piece together what had transpired at Overhaul's base. Meanwhile, I sat casually in the teachers' lounge, staring at the floating Gacha interface in front of me. It's that time of the month again, I thought. With a sigh, I muttered to myself, "Let's see what I get this time."

I clicked on the spin, watching as the wheel of chance spun before slowing down to reveal my first prize:

[Endless Notebook: Never Run out of Pages].

I stared blankly at it. "A notebook? Really?" I mumbled, feeling underwhelmed. Well, I guess I'll never need another notebook, I thought sarcastically. Clicking spin again, I tried not to get my hopes up. The wheel landed on the second item:

[Potted Plant of Perpetual Growth: A small potted plant that never stops growing, but it does so at an incredibly slow rate].

"Great, a decoration. Just what I needed," I grumbled under my breath. "What am I supposed to do with this, water it every day for no reason?"

Growing tired of this, I clicked twice in rapid succession, not wanting to waste any more time. Two more items popped up at once:

[Invisible Ink Pen: A pen with invisible ink].

"Is this a joke? Seriously, what happened to my luck? Did I get cursed or something?" I sighed heavily, but then my eyes shifted to the final item:

[Universal Smartphone: Call Anyone from Anywhere, be it a different galaxy or even a different universe ].

Now this was useful. A smile tugged at the corner of my lips. "Finally, something decent." I quickly transferred my SIM card into the new phone and began testing its features. The thought of being able to call anyone from any universe would definitely come in handy, especially with how chaotic my life had become.

Before I could explore more, my new phone buzzed. It was Aizawa. I answered the call, putting it on speaker.

"Did you see anything suspicious at the facility?" Aizawa's voice came through, his tone as gruff as ever.

I leaned back in my chair. "Suspicious? No, not really. Why? Did something happen?"

Aizawa's reply came swiftly. "The entire facility was found in ruins, and Overhaul… he's mind-broken, and somehow, his quirk is gone. It's as if someone took it."

I sat up straighter, playing the part. "WHAT? How? That doesn't make any sense!"

"The police are investigating, and Naomasa says you should come check it out. All Might is here too, and he's concerned All For One might be behind this."

I faked my shock perfectly. "I'm on my way."

Hanging up, I stood from my seat, stretching my limbs. I already knew exactly what had happened at the facility. After all, I was the one who did it. Overhaul had been reduced to a hollow shell, his quirk gone, because I had taken care of it. Using my Herrscher abilities, I had torn his body apart and rebuilt it without his quirk. Quirks, being genetic mutations, are easy enough to manipulate when you understand them on a molecular level.

Still, I should go and play along. No need to draw suspicion, I thought. Grabbing my coat, I made my way to the facility.

At the Facility:

When I arrived, the scene was chaotic. Police officers were swarming around the wrecked base, while Naomasa and All Might stood off to the side, deep in conversation. Aizawa noticed me first.

"Shiro," he called out, motioning me over.

I approached them, my face calm but curious. "What's going on here?"

Naomasa sighed, rubbing his temples. "Overhaul's base is in ruins, and we found him in an unresponsive state. His quirk is gone, and there are signs of severe trauma, but we can't figure out how it happened."

All Might chimed in, his expression grave. "Do you think All For One might be involved in this?"

I frowned, maintaining my act. "All For One? It's possible… but wouldn't we have seen more direct signs?." I paused, as if deep in thought. "Could someone else have done this?"

Naomasa shrugged. "We're running tests, but nothing concrete yet. Overhaul's mind is broken, and his quirk… it's as if it was never there."

I stayed silent for a moment, glancing at the wreckage. All according to plan, I thought. "Can I take a look at him?" I asked.

Naomasa nodded, and I followed him into what was left of the facility. Overhaul was lying on a stretcher, his face vacant, his eyes staring into nothingness. I could still sense the residual damage I had done to his mind. His body had been perfectly rebuilt, but his quirk was gone—completely erased from existence.

I knelt down next to him, pretending to examine him closely. "This is strange," I muttered, keeping up the act. "It's almost like his Quirk never existed."

Naomasa looked confused. "Quirk never existed? How could that even happen?"

I stood up, shaking my head. "I have no idea. It's possible for someone with knowledge of quirks… like AFO, or maybe someone genetic manipulation did this. But who could do such a thing?"

All Might frowned, deep in thought. "This doesn't make sense. Overhaul had one of the most dangerous quirks out there. If someone could erase it… they could potentially do the same to anyone."

I nodded, pretending to mull over the situation. "We'll need to be on high alert. If someone out there can do this… no one is safe."

Naomasa sighed. "We'll keep investigating. Shiro, if you come across anything—anything at all—let me know."

"Of course," I replied. "I'll stay in touch."

Later That Day

After leaving the chaotic scene at the facility, I returned to my place and collapsed on the couch, thinking about what to do next. I needed a distraction, so I opened the group chat and casually asked everyone:

@Blade: Hey, what are you guys up to?

I waited for a few seconds, and soon the replies started coming in.

@Web_Slinger: Nothing interesting.

@Pottah: The other schools arrived, so the Tournament will be starting soon.

@Ten_Shadows: I'm training my new powers.

@Byakugan_Princess: Me too, I'm also training my powers.

@Spoiled_Brat: It's been a boring day so far.

Then came another notification with an image attached from Bruce.

@Billionaire_Playboy: [image]

Two messages immediately stood out to me. The first was from Rose, mentioning the Triwizard Tournament about to begin, and the second was Bruce's message. He had shared an image of a miniature Arc Reactor. Peter, shocked by the image jumped in right away.

@Web_Slinger: Wait, how did you miniaturize the Arc Reactor so fast?

I smirked, I knew giving him the Vibranium block was the correct choice quickly typing out my response.

@Blade: Impressive work, Bruce. That's some genius-level stuff.

Then, I turned my attention back to Rose. Her message gave me the perfect excuse for a visit.

@Blade: Rose, I'll visit your world tomorrow. I've got some free time.

A moment later, she replied.

@Pottah: So soon? No problem, I'll tell Sirius you're coming from Japan.

As soon as she mentioned Sirius, I remembered the promise I made to him about gifting him a car. I hadn't had the chance to follow up on that, so now seemed like the perfect time. Using my Herrscher abilities, I could craft him something just like my Pagani.

I got up and began packing for tomorrow's trip, mentally designing the car I would gift him, making sure it matched the quality of my own. Tomorrow was going to be interesting.
