The Keys

At noon that day, Ethan was in his room trying to get a glimpse of the file that Mr. John had left him. Upon opening it, a picture fell out. It was a photo of his dad and mom, who looked beautiful together.

This beautiful couple just got separated because of rules so pathetic". he said to himself as he continued opening the file, then he saw a letter inside the file with something written on the back" From Dad".

Ethan opened the letter and started reading the contents of the letter it was from his dad:

My dear son

Maybe by the time you will be able to access this letter, I will be no more I had to be separated from the world because of the Seven Rules which you might have no choice but to also follow, my son I have an important message for you and a map that might help you now that you might be strong and able to bear the mark and power of the seven.

All have forgotten the bond between humans and gods but the portal I opened coming to the mortal world is still open and will be closed only by a Seven so that would be you, the portal is located under a waterfall after our house and you need to go by nightfall, but son you must know that the portal will only be visible to you when you have acquired the power of the Seven.

You have to stay strong my son and take care of yourself and your mom. 

I am sorry I have to leave you so soon but don't forget that you are my son and you have the blood of a seven.

As he finished reading the letter, he began to cry and wished his dad was still alive.

Ethan quickly changed out of his pyjamas and left the house, taking a taxi home, then he saw his friend John walking towards him. 

"Hey Ethan how are you doing?".

"I am okay John, how about you?".

"Ethan I am okay, it has been a while since you've been to school, man I missed you". as he hugged him.

John was a chubby boy of the same age as Ethan, and he was also very humorous and mischievous.

"Man I heard about your mom I am so sorry, I just wish you had a gun to kill the goddam animal before it attacked your mom". John said as he held Ethan's shoulder. 

"I think it was my fault she died John, maybe I should have killed the animal, I am so sad.

They both walked together to John's house because it was close to Ethan's house. They talked briefly before Ethan had to leave for Mr. John's. He couldn't wait for tomorrow to come because the full moon would be tomorrow.
