The car was packed outside Ethan's house while he and his friend were still looking for the missing key, they searched everywhere in Ethan's room but couldn't find anything.
"Ethan I think a car is parked outside... and". On saying that Ethan quickly cut in.
"I know them, I have already sensed they were here. He said as he continued searching the room.
"I think this god stuff is so cool, you could even sense people from this distance. John said, smiling with his hand on his cheek, "So you don't want to meet them?
"No I don't, can you focus on helping me here John?, Ethna said as he frowned at him.
"Okay fine I will, before you burn me alive. John replied as he quickly joined Ethan in the search.
Meanwhile, Mr John and Elena walked around the house feeling that maybe they could find Ethan around, and finally rang the bell at the front door.
Ethan walked forcefully down the stairs and opened the door for them. From the look on his face, it was clear that he was tired and stressed. He wore black pants but no T-shirt. Elena was surprised by Ethan's new appearance; he looked more muscular and slim, which made him very attractive.
"Ethan, what have you been doing here? How dare you hide something from me?" Elena asked as she stood at the door, and her dad walked into the house.
"Babe, I can explain. Just get in first and I will offer you and your dad something to drink," he said, forcing a smile.
She walked in and sat on the couch with her dad, John came out from Ethan's room, raising the mysterious key up. "Hey Ethan, I found it," he said. Ethan smiled like someone who had just won the lottery and took the key from John. Ethan was standing in the kitchen, serving some juice.
"Yes, this is it thanks. Ethan replied as he took the key and put it inside his pocket, taking the two glasses of juice and gave Elena and her dad.
"Thanks," they both said as they dropped it on the table in front of them. "So, Ethan, what are you?" Elena asked with suspicion written all over her face.
"Okay, I know I was supposed to tell you all who I am, but I thought I could run from it like I did when I was a child. But I think it's time for me to embrace who I truly am. The truth is, I am a god, the new elect of the seven."
"And that is what it sounded like in the letter that your dad wrote to you. as she brought the paper out of her pocket.
John from behind echoed" Please Ethan can you show me the wings one more time? With an excited tone.
A soft, ethereal light illuminated the room, casting shadows that danced across the walls. There was a moment of silence before a soft rustling filled the space. When Ethan turned, wings unfurled from his back, magnificent and shimmering like the night sky, with feathers that seemed to catch the light in a way that made them look almost unreal.
Elena, mid-sentence, froze, his mouth hanging open in disbelief. With her eyes widened, and her hand instinctively reached for her father's arm. Her father, typically calm and composed, stood up abruptly, his chair scraping the floor as he stepped back, clearly shaken by the sight before him.
John was the first to speak, though his words stumbled out awkwardly. "Ethan… mate, you an angel now.
Ethan chuckled softly, but his expression remained serious. "I needed to show you, Elena," he said quietly, his voice steady. "Things are happening that none of us understand, and this is part of it."
Elena blinked, her gaze locked on his wings, struggling to process what she was seeing. "Wings… real wings," she whispered, disbelief and awe lacing her words.
Her father finally found his voice, though it was thick with astonishment. "I've seen many things in my lifetime, but this… Ethan, you are indeed a god.
"I'm still figuring out how to open a secret portal," Ethan replied, his wings slowly folding against his back, shimmering softly as they settled into place. "But I think my house is a part of the answer."
John leaned back in his chair, his usual humour returning, even amid shock. "Well, I always knew you were special, but I didn't think you'd be an angel anytime soon. What's next? Halo? Or do you have an army of angels hiding around here somewhere?"
Ethan couldn't help but smile at John's attempt to lighten the mood, but deep down, the weight of the unknown still pressed on him. "Let's just say we have a lot more to do with the key."
