A New Ethan

"Daddy can you see that Ethan is now changed, he hasn't returned home for a day now," Elena said with a frown on her face moving to and fro in the sitting room distracting his dad from the TV program. 

"I don't think he is far from us, maybe he might just feel like visiting his house or going to the cemetery to put some flowers in his mother's grave, you know we do that sometimes to your mom's. Her dad replied trying to get a glimpse of the TV.

"But this is not the Ethan I know, he has changed and It is strange to me because when he left I didn't hear the sound of a taxi or car, it was just swosh and there he was gone, she said as she sat down close to her dad." Dad do you think Ethan is keeping a secret from us?".

"I don't think so, Ethan is a friendly and kind young man, he can't do such". He said as he continued watching the TV.

"You know what Dad, I am going to search his room, maybe there must be something there he doesn't want to say about. She said as she stood up and walked up the stairs. 

In Ethan's room

She sat in his bed staring at Ethan's beautiful childhood photos with his mom and her eyes caught a piece of paper on the shelf, she opened it and read the content, it was the same letter that Ethan's dad had written to him about the hidden portal, then she quickly stood up in amazement and took the letter to her dad in the sitting room. 

In the sitting room

Mr John was busy enjoying a TV show about crime scenes and investigations when Elena walked in front of him with a letter in her hand. "Daddy, you see that Ethan has been hiding something from us. He is a new Ethan now because the old Ethan that I know would tell me anything," she said, rolling her eyes.

"Elena, do you have feelings for him?". he asked with a suspicious look at her.

"Um, Dad, no, but we are just good friends, that's all," she said nervously.

"Okay, so Elena what do you want us to do now?".

"Dad, I think we should drive to his house and ask him some questions to see if he is truly a god or a special child," she said as she folded the paper and put it in her pocket.

"Okay but how about your sisters?

"They will do just fine at home dad let's go. 

They both walked out of the house, entered the car and zoomed off, not knowing that the children were hiding close to the sitting room hearing the whole conversation, as they heard the sound of the car zooming off they came out of their hiding spots.

"Emily I think we are getting close to finding the truth about Elena and Ethan". Anna said as she longed on the couch. 

"Yes I think so too, it seems like a spy mission and it is very interesting. Emily replied sitting on the couch with her.
