Ch. 49 - The Institute

The hot sun shone through the windscreen though it thankfully wasn't quite able to heat up the inside of the van. It was the middle of Autumn, and the weather was deciding it was time to move sluggishly on.

I pushed the sun visor up a little to see under it and at the intersection we were coming up to. "This one is… Fei Ngo Road, does your map have a Fei Ngo Road?"

Siu Mun peered at the map she had fully opened in her lap as she sat in the passenger seat. If it had been Aron driving, we wouldn't even have needed a map, but he couldn't get the time off today, so it fell to me and my mediocre pathfinding skills to get us to our destination. Or rather Siu Mun's skills.

"Ah!" The little girl smacked a finger down on the map. "Here!"

I glanced behind us, then drew us to the side and stopped the van by the side of the road. "Where?"
