Chapter Sixty-Seven: Teamwork

Once I had transmitted enough of myself to have a functioning segment in the electrical system, I flexed my control and discovered that, as I had thought, the power system of the building was currently in use. I pressed my metaphorical hand towards these systems and easily grasped them, threading them together with the rest of the systems that I controlled, that I was.

I let the monkey know that she was free to go if she wanted but she said she wanted to see more. She was curious. I warned her that it would be dangerous, but she said that she was from a large family and that she wouldn't be too sorely missed. I told her that no matter how big or small a family is, or even if it doesn't exist at all, one will always be missed, even if it's just by the earth. She was a young monkey, so this gave her pause and she agreed to not get involved unless absolutely necessary.
