"Anna's personality only awakens when she's in danger."

Rod nodded thoughtfully.

If Annie was the embodiment of cheerfulness and vitality, then Anna was a vessel of hatred and destruction—resentful of everything in the world, and wielding a power of annihilation.

"Grandmother, you talk too much."

A pair of cold eyes glanced over.

Anna, floating midair, was shrouded in a storm of tangible darkness. The overwhelming destructive energy emanating from her made even the mad grandmother tremble involuntarily.

"Though she's a bit temperamental, I must admit, I quite like this version of her," Rod remarked, unable to suppress a grin.

Her long, sleek black hair and dark eye makeup, along with that perfectly sculpted, seductive figure, made Anna vastly different from the petite, youthful Annie. Anna's icy beauty, combined with her formidable presence, had an allure all her own.

"Filthy scoundrel."

Anna's gaze was filled with disdain as she looked at Rod.

"If it weren't for the fact that you helped my cowardly little sister, I'd kill you ten times over for saying that."

With a wave of her hand, a surge of powerful magic shot toward Rod.

"From now on, stay away from Annie."

Rod's lips curled into a slight smirk.

He shattered the incoming magic with a single punch.

Thanks to the power of the Virtue of Kindness that enveloped him, any force imbued with hatred or malice couldn't harm him. Anna's second personality, after all, was the very manifestation of negative emotions. Therefore, none of her attacks could affect him.

What was there to be afraid of?

"Not bad, no wonder you dared venture into the forest alone."

Seeing Rod deflect her casual attack, Anna's eyes briefly flashed with surprise.

But the next moment, a fury beyond description ignited in her heart.

"With that level of strength, you're not even qualified to act so brazenly in front of me."

Boom!

A tidal wave of dark magic blasted Rod, sending him flying. He crashed through a dozen trees before finally coming to a stop.

"Your strength is decent, but still too weak," Rod commented, dusting off his unscathed body as he rose from the rubble, his upper garments completely shredded.

"So, is this your full power? If this is all you've got, then you don't even have the qualifications to hurt me."

His voice was laced with mockery, a taunting smile playing on his lips.

"How dare you!"

Anna's cold snort sent ripples through the air. Her eyes darkened even further as a terrifying force of destruction burst forth from her.

All of her power was unleashed without reservation.

The terrifying energy compressed and condensed until it took the form of a long spear crackling with lightning.

Boom!

Thunder roared as the spear tore through the air, leaving fractures in space itself.

"You're far too reckless. No one's going to like a woman like that," Rod said, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

He reached out and, with a single motion, crushed the lightning spear.

In an instant, he closed the distance between them, his fist tearing through the dark energy field surrounding Anna.

With one hand, he grabbed her beautiful yet astonished face.

"Steal!"

The power of plunder surged!

A torrent of magic flowed uncontrollably from Anna's body into Rod's.

He exhaled deeply, a look of satisfaction crossing his face.

"Not bad. Quite the power."

"What have you done to me?" Anna's initial resistance faltered as she felt her energy draining away like water through a broken dam. In mere moments, her magic had all but vanished.

"I'm just borrowing your power for a little while."

Rod snapped his fingers casually.

Suddenly, dark chains materialized from the void, binding Anna's body and suspending her midair.

The sight—sensual woman, captured, bound by chains—was a striking one. Over that, her red dress tightly clung to the body was torn at places, revealing tender sking underneath.

There were... far too many suggestive elements.

"So, what now? Will you revert back to Annie, or do you want me to take things further?" Rod's voice dripped with amusement as he lifted her cold, impassive face.

"Oh, I almost forgot—whether you change back or not, you can still feel what's happening outside."

Rod's playful gaze lingered on her.

A mixture of shame and fury flashed across Anna's otherwise indifferent face.

"You depraved scum! You despicable man! I will remember you!" she snarled.

"If you dare force Annie into anything, I swear I will kill you!"
