Chapter seventy six

Alex sat in his office, staring at the phone in front of him. He had been thinking about Sophia nonstop, and he knew he had to do something to save her. But he couldn't do it alone. He needed help.

Rachel who was sitting across from him, quickly noticed the worry on his face and sighed. "What's the matter, sir? You've been like this all week. Are you sure there isn't something you are hiding from me?" She asked, her voice filled with concern.

Alex heisted, unsure of how much to reveal, and then he faked a smile. "Don't worry Rachel... I was just thinking about something unimportant."

Rachel raised an eyebrow. "Really? I mean, would something unimportant have you staring into a blank space for almost an hour? Not only that, but your eyes look weary. When last did you get some sleep?" Rachel asked.

Alex sighed. "I don't know... Maybe two nights ago, or three... I lost count." Alex muttered.
