EPILOGUE

TWENTY YEARS LATER

LIAM

The lithe body laps around the massive pool, every stroke languid, streamlining. The blue undelights of the pool cast a hue on the swimmer making it more mesmerizing to watch him.

The man stops when he reaches the end of the pool, shaking his hair, hand wiping down his face as he heaves. When he turns and looks at me, there is a look in the swimmer's eyes I can't decipher.

Every night, rain loves going for a midnight swim and I watch him. This time it's no different tonight too, as he steps out of the pool stark naked and I am waiting on him by the edge of the pool, robe in hand.

But as I help Rain put it on, he stops, looking at me in that way of his, that way, that disarms me completely. He leans in so close that my heart rate spikes.

"Feed me."
