Leah

"I'm… not," Abi tried to run away as usual, but he held her hand to stop her from leaving.

"Where are you running off to?" He asked and stared at her.

She took her eyes away from him and looked elsewhere. She couldn't afford to be caught by him while blushing. Her phone began to ring, and Leo's eyes traveled to the name of the person. He frowned when he realized it was Julian.

"I need to take this," Abi told him, but Leo held her phone and pulled her to his lap.

"Why would you take another man's call when you're with your husband?" Leo asked her with a stern voice.

Abi also frowned and replied, "You ignored my calls when you were in Aust—"

"I had my reason," Leo spoke quickly.

Abi kept moving on Leo's lap. She wasn't comfortable at all. She feared that she weighed too much for him to handle, and besides, she wasn't yet used to so much intimacy with him as her husband.

"What's wrong?" Leo asked when he noticed her discomfort.

"I want to get up," Abi replied.

"Why?" Leo asked her as he touched her hair. He sniffed it gently and had a small smile on his handsome face.

"I'm not comfortable," Abi replied.

"Then sit here," Leo opened his lap and allowed her to sit on the small space. Her ass pressed against his dick as she sat.

"I didn't know you had such a fat ass," He muttered, but Abi heard him. Her ears turned red when he wrapped his arms around her waist again.

'Was he always like this?', Abi asked herself. She never knew that he was the clingy type. He wants intimacy all the time. Abi was also clingy, but she just hasn't shown it yet.

"Don't pick his call. I don't like it when you talk to him. Don't you know that you sound sexy on the phone?" Leo whispered into her ear.

"No, I don't," Abi argued.

"Tell me why you've been avoiding me for two weeks? Is it because I kissed you?" He was staring into her eyes at that moment.

Abi began to stammer because it was really true. She had been avoiding him because of the kiss. She was embarrassed to face him, even though he was the one who kissed her. Not right! She did kiss him back too!

Abi nodded slowly. Leo bit his lips when he saw that.

"Oh. I didn't know that you hated it. I won't kiss you again… without your permission then," Leo told her, and she nodded.

There was deafening silence for a while. They just remained there. Leo's hands were around her waist, while her heart was racing.

"I didn't hate it," She spoke softly.

Leo was busy inhaling her heavenly scent when he heard her voice.

"What?" He asked her as his full attention shifted to her.

"I said that I didn't hate your kiss," Abi told him.

Leo was very pleased to hear that. His dick twitched in his pants, knowing that she was pleased with his intimacy that day.

"Then, why were you avoiding me for so long? You weren't picking my calls or replying to my messages either," He retorted.

"I was… shy," Abi replied.

"Ah! I didn't know you were the shy type," His lips traveled to her neckline, and Abi gasped.

He paused and watched her shiver in anticipation of his touch.

"I want to have my night bath," Abi told him. She feared that if she spent more time with him, they would do more than just kiss that night.

"Should I help you with it?" He teased her.

"No," Abi quickly jumped from the bed and ran to the door. As soon as her hands were on the knob, she heard a knock from outside.

"Master, Miss Leah is here to see you," Butler Lee spoke from outside.

Abi furrowed her brows and turned around to look at her husband. He had lied to her!

"Abi, I can explain," Leo spoke quickly, but Abi didn't listen.

She ran out of his room and dashed to her room, feeling betrayed and used.

Leo walked out of his room with a wide frown on his face. He was not happy with Leah for ruining his plan.

He would scold her when he laid his eyes on her. 'How dare she show up here without informing me earlier?!', Leo was angry.

He descended the stairs with an angry aura. His eyes laid on the lady busy stroking the fur of a brown pup.

Leo didn't like Abi's pup for any reason because the pup received more love from her than him.

"What are you doing here, Leah?" Leo thundered and looked at her angrily.

Leah swallowed her spit when she saw the look in her friend's eyes. It had been so long since she saw him that angry.

"What are you doing here, Leah?" Leo thundered and looked at her angrily.

"I'll take care of it, my love," Leah smiled at him.

"Don't call me that fucking name! This is all your fault!" Leo glared at her.

"It's a woman-to-woman thing, so leave it to me," Leah said as soon as she saw Abi descending the stairs.

"Hi! You must be my friend's pretty wife," Leah praised Abi when she saw her.

"Yeah?" Abi rolled her eyes inwardly.

"You two can talk while I go to the kitchen," Abi told Leah.

"Talk?" Leah asked.

"There's nothing to discuss with Leo, as he doesn't want me here. I'll just take my bag and leave as it is," Abi widened her eyes when she heard that. It would make her look like a bad wife if she let her husband's childhood friend leave so late at night.

"How can I ask you to leave? You may stay for the night," Abi replied.

"Can I?" Leah was excited and shot Leo a look. His plan had failed so easily again.

"What do you like to eat?" Abi asked Leah with interest.

"Anything would be fine," Leah replied. She didn't want to stress the pregnant lady because she was really picky when it came to food.

"Really? I heard you had food poisoning, so I have to be extra careful," Abi said that purposely.

"Me? Food poisoning?" Leah wanted to laugh but she could already feel the cold chill from Mr. Ice.

"Can I lend you a hand in the kitchen?" Leah questioned.

"Yeah, of course," Abi replied quickly.

Leo just stood in place and watched the two ladies converse. He knew Leah was up to something when she said it was women-to-women talk.

Abi wasn't surprised to realize that Leah was bad at cooking.

"I'm sorry for being a mess in the kitchen. I'm trying to cook these days. I've already signed up for a cooking class," Leah announced.

"Really?" Abi asked.

"Yes. It's at Rasha's Home of Catering. I don't know if you've—"

"Oh my god! That's that boss!! I also learned from her. We're good friends now," Abi smiled.

"Really?" Leah was surprised.

"She's always mocking me for being a spoiled brat that can't cook."

"That's fine. I hope you and my husband take up the class," Abi said seriously.

"There's no need for Leo to do that. He's pretty good at cooking. Hasn't he cooked for you before?" Leah placed her hands on her waist and looked at her with amusement.

"No," Abi answered.

"He's always busy and has no time for me. How can I tell him to cook?"

"Is there anything he's bad at?" Abi frowned. He was good at everything while he criticized whatever she did.

"Yes, but don't tell him I said so," Leah whispered and retorted, "He's pretty bad at singing."

"He can't sing?" Abi laughed.

"He can't. He doesn't even sing. There was a time I dragged him to a karaoke after our examination. He was furious that I lied about the fact that we were the only ones there," Leah laughed.

"Let me guess. It was everyone at the karaoke, and he sang," Abi looked at Leah.

"That's right," Leah chuckled.

"There was a girl Leo liked in our school. It was a small crush, and the girl was there when he was singing," Leah continued her stories.

"What did he do next?" Abi asked.

"I'm not telling. Ask your husband. He's going to kill me for sharing this with you," Leah spoke up.

"Can he paint like me?" Abi asked Leah.

"You paint?" Leah questioned.

"Yes," Abi replied.

"That's nice," Leah replied.

"Leo doesn't paint. He's only good at business, playing games, and seducing girls without even trying."

"Were you two a thing?" Abi asked her.

"What?! Of course not! I'm just a childhood friend who knows a lot of secrets about him. Leo was really silly when he was a kid," Leah exposed Leo's attitude to Abi.

"All kids are silly," Abi replied.

"Not that," Leah laughed.

"Leo was a really naughty kid when he was young. He liked it when girls fell for him and confessed to him. He has never liked any girl before. Well, you're the first," Abi blushed when she heard Leah's words.

They engaged in small talk until the food was ready. It was a light dinner, so it wasn't heavy to take in. Abi popped a red grape into her mouth and sighed.

"You should forgive my friend, Abi. He doesn't go to this length to please a woman. But you're special. I came here because he wants to help me, but he has been shunning me for so long. As soon as we're done, I'll go back. Besides, my parents can't know that I'm here," Leah told Abi.

"You ran away from home?" Abi gasped.

"Something like that," Leah chuckled.

Leah was already eating her food in the kitchen while Abi was the one talking. It was only when she wished her good night that she realized she had talked for a long time.

"You're supposed to eat with us," Abi frowned.

"Thank you for the meal. Don't worry. I'll make sure your husband cooks for you tomorrow. That's already on my to-do list," Leah patted Abi's right shoulder and left the kitchen.

She stared at the two plates of food on the slab in the kitchen and sighed. She didn't want to face her husband yet. He had made her mad that day. Why would he lie to her just for her to talk to him? Does he want to be with her so much?

Her phone began to ring, and she took it from the place she had kept it on entering the kitchen.

"Hey!!" She smiled.

"Hello, my love," a guy said cheerfully.

"Don't call me that, Samir. Hasn't news reached you that I'm already married?" Abi frowned.

"And so?" Samir answered.

"Let me see your face clearly. Is this your new house?"

"Yes. You like it?" Abi smiled and turned her phone around for him to look at the kitchen better.

"No. My place is better," Samir argued.

"Whatever. It's because you're now a stupid Arab Prince," Abi hissed.

"I was always one, my love. I asked you out ten times, and you rejected me. You're such a wicked girl. I bought you everything a girl likes and took you out on indirect romantic dates, but you were so dumb to notice that I was into you!" Samir replied.

"You're a flirt, Samir," Abi told him.

"No, I'm just not your type," Samir replied.

"Anyway, you look too good. What's with the glow?"

"Guess?" Abi told him.

"There's no need for me to guess that your husband loves fucking you every night. I would do the same if it were you. So why should I guess?" He hissed.

"Samir!!" Abi was speechless.

She decided not to tell him that she was pregnant anymore.

"You can't lie to me that your husband hasn't fucked you yet. Actually, that can be possible. If he hasn't, it means he's gay. That means you should leave him and come to me. I still have feelings for you," Samir told her.

Abi laughed and told him that she was keeping the call.

"Don't. Let's talk more," Samir told her.

"So, any girl in your life now?" Abi asked him.

"There's always girls, but I don't love them," Samir replied.

"But they love you," Abi was not happy that he was playing with their feelings.

"No. They love my money only," Samir fired back.

"My birthday is coming up soon," Abi reminded him.

"Oh," Samir gasped in amusement.

"The birthday girl wants something from me?"

"Yes," Abi answered.

"Okay. I'm all ears," Samir replied and adjusted his head tie.

"Tell me what you told Kenneth that night," Abi told him.

"What?" Samir pretended not to know about it.

"Really?" Abi asked him with a frown.

"Have you forgotten the night we had a party to celebrate our graduation at Selena's house?"

"Oh, that party?" He recalled and continued, "Then?"

"You and Kenneth were discussing me that night. True or false?" Abi asked.

"True," Samir replied.

"Good. What were you telling him about me?" Abi asked.

"Nothing bad. It's better you don't know," Samir replied.

"Get off my phone," Abi told him in anger.

"Okay, chill baby. I'll tell you now," Samir declared and took a deep breath.

"We were talking about shitty things. He was asking about your favorite sex positions and crazy stuff like that," Samir told her.

"My what?" Abi asked.

"Your taste. He asked about the things you liked and how to make you fall for him. To be honest, he just wanted to get into your pants because you were the hottest out there," Samir told her.

"Just like you," Abi hissed.

"That was then. I'm totally different now," Samir argued.

"Just hold on. I need to tend to these foods," She commented and placed her phone on the slab to sit up. The phone was facing the door's entrance as she tended to her thing.

Abi decided to allow her husband to starve that night as his punishment. He would be fine the next day after eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A skipped meal wouldn't do anything to him.

She packed the food and put them into the refrigerator. She didn't even have a taste of what she cooked because she was not in the mood at all. She had lost her appetite and wanted to hear more from Samir.

She was all over the place, giving the kitchen a final cleaning.

"Gawd! You're so beautiful, Abigail," Samir complimented her.

"Thank you," Abi said.

"And you've gotten thicker," He replied.

"Your ass got fatter, and you've got bigger boobs. How far along are you?" Samir asked her.

"What?" Abi glared at him and took her phone.

"I might have seen the bulge when you were moving around," Samir told her.

"Gawd! You never told me that husband was Leonardo Grey. Damn!!"

"Who told you that?" Abi asked with curiosity.

"Then, tell me why the fuck he's sending daggers to me from the door. Allamdulillah for everything, Abigail," Samir hung up with a small smile.

Abi turned around and found her husband there, sending daggers with his eyes, just as Samir had claimed.

"Where's Leah?" Leo asked with no emotion.

"She went to bed already," Abi replied and added, "I would also be going to bed now"

She passed by him and was about to celebrate her smooth effort by leaving quickly when she heard his deep voice.

"What's your relationship with that ugly flirt?"
