Luc POV
Unbelievable!
He stared at the human lying dead, slumped on the toilet in the bathroom.
When he'd bitten the portly Polish man, he'd assumed he could feed safely. After all, from the muffin top that the man sported, he hadn't missed many meals.
However, the man also proved to be anemic. And on blood thinners, which Luc didn't know. He had a bad reaction to Luc's bite.
To make matters worse, the puncture wounds wouldn't close--or stop bleeding. Luc fished in the man's pocked and found anticoagulant bandages, then slapped one on the man's neck. That should stop the bleeding--but he still had a dead human to explain away.
Try not to panic.
The man smelled of fresh blood and garlic and Brie, as well as some sort of strong cologne. Unfortunately, the blood smell overwhelmed.
