Three

"Why? "

Efriel was surprised to see Narra who had only been looking at her cellphone which she had kept next to the plate of peanut sauce batagor she had ordered earlier.

Plus, his best friend always took deep breaths and looked heavy.

"Why is he breathing like that?" asked Efriel again.

"Could it be..." Efriel didn't continue his words and just looked at Narra who was waiting for him to continue his words.

"What?" Narra asked back.

"Mother," Efriel spoke softly, leaning towards Narra who was blocked by the cafeteria table.

"Do you have heart disease or cancer, Mom?"

Narra's eyes widened, one hand tapped the table three times then turned to tapping her own head.

"God forbid Pancoran branch!" said Narra.

"Don't say that, Efriel. Those words are like prayers, you know!"

"In the end it seems like life is really hard"

"Usually the batagor disappears in two or three bites"

Narra smiled blandly, "I don't know why today is so strange."

"Because of what your uncle said about me?"

"No," Narra's answer was lightning fast.

"Keep going? "

"You're just like a parking attendant, if you don't tell me then you'll just move on."

Efriel laughed at Narra's funny chatter, but still couldn't hide her face which seemed to hide sadness.

"Then?" Efriel replaced the word 'continue'.

"I don't know why, I feel fine, but it feels like something is popping in my chest."

Narra rubbed her chest continuously, trying to make positive suggestions in her mind which she hoped would make her mind better and give good signals to her heart.

"It's like that's annoying," continued Narra.

"It's not good if you're annoying, it's better to just say something for the sake of wisdom there."

Efriel tried to make another joke to make his friend laugh

"I'll buy it, okay?"

Narra shook her head, "I haven't even eaten the batagor yet."

"Yes, hurry up and eat," Efriel ordered.

He took the spoon from Narra's batagor plate.

"Don't say you want to be fed."

"No," Narra quickly took her spoon from Efriel's hand.

"I'm afraid of getting sick," said Narra again.

One big mouthful entered Narra's mouth and his row of neat teeth crushed the batagor he put in his mouth.

Efriel smiled, "if you look at the mouthful, I'm sure you are now fully aware."

"Indeed, I'm possessed!" said Narra, smacking Efriel's hand a little.

Narra's first mouthful looked like herself, but then again her expression changed back to the way it had been a few minutes before.

He kept looking at his cell phone which was next to his plate not far from his eyes. He seemed disappointed because his cell phone didn't turn on at all.

"You have a lover? "

"Hah_ "

Hearing Narra's short answer, Efriel watched his friend's expression.

"You never said that you already have a boyfriend."

"Remember, you promised to have a boyfriend if I have a boyfriend first," continued Efriel.

"What the hell!" Narra quickly threw her used tissue roll at Efriel.

"It's dirty, mom. You have snot on it!"

Narra didn't pay attention at all, just rolled her eyes at Efriel.

"So don't be weird," Narra muttered.

He turned on his cellphone screen and then turned it off again after seeing that there were no incoming messages for him.

"I sent a message this afternoon to Lean, I haven't answered until now."

"It's not evening yet, it's still six in the afternoon. Evening to be more precise, mother!"

Efriel corrected Narra's words, as if he was very correct.

"What message did you send? Don't tell me you sent a message like yesterday."

"Which one? "

"That's what, you said don't go home at all if you keep going with your naughty friend."

"What did I do wrong?" Narra asked, "I got angry at Lean because he was wrong for not obeying my words."

"Hey, I've made the mistake of being confident again," Efriel laughed at Narra, "It's not wrong for you to be angry with lean people."

"So I'm the one who's wrong?"

"You yourself told me not to go home, Lean is an obedient child."

Narra widened her eyes, "Besides, Narra cornered me."

"Do you want me to give you my blessing to become your future son-in-law? Remember, anyone who wants to marry Lean must have my approval."

"She's Narra's most beautiful sister, so I definitely take great care of her. Especially from a guy like you."

Efriel laughed non-stop even though Narra's threats had stopped a long time ago, but he still found it funny to hear.

"I don't know yet if a man wants to do whatever he wants, soft or rough. Using seduction or using coercion, it's easy for us."

"That's it, ah. Tired of playing soap operas with you all the time!"

Their conversation stopped when Narra's cell phone finally rang and Lean's name appeared on the cell phone screen.

"Finally the one I was talking about earlier has appeared," grumbled Efriel.

Narra kept her index finger in front of her lips giving orders to Efriel to stop talking and not make the slightest sound while she was talking to Lean on the phone.

Efriel raised both hands, nodding his head, obeying all of Efriel's orders.

"Sis," Lean spoke first after Narra received a call from him.

"Where are you? Bi Atun said you weren't home yet."

Narra's tone sounded firm this time, in fact she was very worried but because her class schedule finished today at eight in the evening she couldn't accompany her sister.

"I just finished from the city library, sis."

"My cellphone's battery is low, Sis. I forgot to bring a charger, I was afraid that my brother would be angry that I was late coming home, so I called my brother."

"You're not lying, right?"

"Yes, Sis. I'm not going to lie. I'm going home with you..."

Lean's voice then disappeared and did not speak again.

"Why?" Efriel was surprised to see Narra who had put her cellphone back on the table.

"The cell phone battery must be low," answered Narra.

"But I calmed down because I heard Lean's voice, he also said he was on his way home."

"Don't worry too much, poor Lean also has to have time with his friends. He's still young, so he needs everything to make him happy."

"You really understand who wants to be a lean husband," teased Narra.

He then got up from his seat and put his cellphone in his bag to return to his class before his lecturer arrived before him.

"Why did I smell Lean perfume earlier..."

Narra said in her heart as she turned her gaze to all the people in the class who in her mind might be wearing the same perfume as her sister, disrupting her study concentration today.

He could smell that perfume every day, but this time he didn't know the reason why he missed a lean figure just by smelling the same perfume.

Today he really wanted his lecture to end quickly so he could see his little brother and watch a movie they both liked.
