Four

"Lean!!!"

Narra shouted from the front of the house after college, wanting her sister to run and greet her because she had brought batagor, which was also her favorite food.

"Non Lean hasn't come home yet," Ms Atun appeared half running towards Narra who was walking towards Lean's room.

He saw Ms. Atun's face which looked worried.

"It's eight o'clock now, why haven't you come home yet?" Narra's expression quickly changed to become more worried.

"Earlier, Miss Narra called, but she didn't pick up."

Narra rubbed her forehead and then remembered that she had deliberately set her cell phone to silent settings.

"Yes, sorry sis. Earlier the lecturer made a rule that no cell phone would sound while he was teaching."

Narra quickly took her cell phone and then called Lean, who unusually didn't come home after Narra arrived. He was always at home before Narra and always welcomed her home with a smile.

"The number you dialed is currently inactive"

"He said his cell phone battery was dead..." Narra muttered.

This made Narra even more anxious and all the bad thoughts appeared in her mind.

"What did he come home with? I was stupid not to ask that!"

Narra blamed herself this time, she was too worried that she couldn't think clearly to decide what else she should do.

"Om" Narra finally knew who she should contact.

"Come on, pick up," Narra became increasingly anxious when her uncle didn't answer the phone.

Narra paced back and forth while still holding her cellphone and her thoughts began to become confused.

Narra's "auntie" managed to contact her father's younger sibling.

Because her mother was an only child, apart from her uncle and aunt who took care of everything her parents left behind, they are also Narra's parents now.

"Oh, where?"

"It's the twentieth of Narra, you know every date he has to have a meeting."

Narra nodded confirming her aunt's words.

"What is it? "

"Auntie, Lean hasn't come home until now," he answered.

"Don't be afraid, maybe stay at a friend's house."

Narra shook her head, even though she knew her aunt wouldn't be able to see it.

"But the last time he called, Lean was on his way home."

"Narra is also a young person, giving her the freedom to socialize once in a while."

"But I don't usually come home at night, auntie, should I report it to the police?"

"It's useless if it hasn't been twenty-four hours, it's better if you look at the school first or at your friends' houses."

Narra nodded, "yes, auntie."

He was still confused, because what he knew was that Lean had only been at his new school for a month. So he still doesn't know the friends who are close to his sister.

"Efriel"

Finally, Narra decided to contact her friend, even though she had promised her uncle not to see Efriel too often.

"Lean hasn't come home until now," Narra said while crying because there was too much chaos in her mind which forced her tears to come out.

"Didn't you say this afternoon he was on his way home?"

"That's why I'm afraid" Narra couldn't continue her words because she was crying.

"You calm down first"

"I have to report to the police"

"But it's not twenty-four hours yet, ra"

Efriel's answer was the same as her aunt's answer earlier.

"So what now?" Narra felt like her thoughts were stuck at the moment.

"I'll be at your house in five minutes, we'll look for it together."

"Yes "

Narra couldn't hold back her tears anymore because she felt like she was going through an even harder ordeal.

He sat on the front porch of his house crying, hoping that when he was crying Lean would come to surprise him with laughter and bring him his favorite cheese raisin martabak.

Giving him a logical reason why until now Lean was late coming home.

Five minutes had passed when Narra sat on the front porch of her house, she saw Efriel's black 90s sedan stop in front of her house.

Narra quickly stood up and was in the car just as Efriel got out of the car.

"Where's your jacket? It's late, it's bound to be cold."

"No need," answered Narra, "we're going to lean school now."

"Yes, yes. We're leaving now"

Efriel got back into his car and they went to the first place Narra mentioned.

On the way, Efriel occasionally glanced at Narra, knowing that her best friend wouldn't stop crying because she was worried about her beloved sister.

"Don't look at it like that," said Narra.

Efriel handed him a box of tissues, "Yes, I know you're worried, wipe the snot."

"Efriel!!" While crying, Narra took the time to give Efriel a punch on the hand, who could still joke when he was really confused.

"Calm down, Mom. Lean is probably making a prank."

"Yeah, it's better like that. She's fine, at least I'll make a cut of her pocket money and skincare."

Efriel smiled faintly, seeing Narra like this was better for him than crying.

They left at the same time when they arrived at the front gate of the Lean school, which was deserted and only the lights were on in a few rooms.

"Who are you looking for, sis?"

A middle-aged man in a security uniform appeared from a post inside the school area.

"I'm looking for my sister, sir," Narra answered, turning her gaze around the dark school.

"It's closed, sir, there are no children still at school. The late ones here come home at four in the afternoon."

"Looks like lean isn't at school, ra," said Efriel.

Seeing the quiet and dark atmosphere of the school, Efriel was sure that Lean was not at school.

"Thank you, sir," Efriel took Narra's place in saying goodbye because he was seen walking with a blank stare.

"Where are we going now?" Narra asked Efriel.

"Try to remember, what did you say on the phone earlier?" Efriel tried to remind Narra.

"A moment "

Narra tried to recall the conversation she had with Lean earlier, took a deep breath so she could calm down and remember.

"He said he just finished at the public library earlier."

Efriel nodded and quickly turned the vehicle he was driving towards the place Narra had mentioned.

"Close too," said Efriel when they arrived at a public library building which was Lean's favorite place after school.

The gate was closed tightly and only the garden lights were still on.

Narra felt hopeless and suddenly she could only cry because she had not been able to meet her beloved sister.

Efriel tried to calm his friend this time, he used Narra's cellphone to contact Ms. Atun who was at home, hoping that Lean would be at her house now.

But again the results were very disappointing and Narra's anxiety increased.

"Sis Narra"

There was a voice calling him from the direction of a grocery store that sold various stationery.

Narra squinted her eyes to clear her vision because everything looked blurry because of her crying.

"Well sis, lean classmate"

Narra nodded her head and she just remembered that when she first took Lean to her new school she met Welli.

"Did you just go to the public library?" Narra asked.

"Yes bro "

This answer made Narra relieved and seemed to have found a bright spot.

"Lean where you are now?"

The girl named Welli shook her head. The answer that Narra really didn't expect at this time.

"Lean isn't home yet, bro?"

"Yes," Narra answered in a weak tone.

"But earlier he was picked up by someone he knows, Sis, he said that when he said goodbye to me."

"But, I didn't see which car he got into."

Narra turned to Efriel, who seemed to be thinking about who the person who had left with Lean was, which she hadn't had time to say because the phone had been disconnected.
